Scoring chances off-the-rush were 17-2 Devils in this one. 👀
That's more than they had in any game last season.

Yes, it's only day one; Lombardi came to camp in skating shape. In his group, he kept pace with Browner during all the conditioning skates. Eye test ✅
Bratter was the rabbit in his group; no one came close to catching him. Same with Chisholm in his D-group. First impressions matter.

GM Kevin Cheveldayoff will meet with the media tomorrow morning.

Absolutely love this move from Sunny Mehta.
Evangelista posted some terrific underlying numbers in his time with the Preds. Not much of a finisher, but a great playmaker.
56 points last season. Good add for middle 6/top 6.

Mehta on Nico's extension:
"If he had decided to wait a year & become a FA, could he have gotten potentially more $? Very possible. But (...) it was obvious to me that wasn't even a thought for him. He wants nothing more than to win as a Devil & it's a great precedent to set."
Sunny Mehta said his impression is that Nico Hischier wants nothing more than to win as a Devil.
"He wants to win so bad."
