प्रारंभिक शोध से जागीरदार का नाम प्रतापदान अचलावत और मूल गांव का नाम बागुंडी होना मालूम हुआ है।

Manucci remarks that the Rajputs are of generally virtuous character, keeping their word unlike the treacherous mahomeddan.
