Today I am launching a new video.
In this video I go over how to leverage release channels in Power Platform environments to enable new capabilities in products like Copilot Studio and Workflows. This is an evolution of how flexible you can be with feature enablement in your environments. I also go over how release channels are different than the past approach and how they work. There is a demo of how it used to work and how it works now in Power Platform as well.

AI model releases are moving faster than buyers can consume them — and model fatigue is starting to become a real issue for the industry.
Five key frontier models released new versions within four days of one another, while the labs behind them are increasingly calling for a slowdown in AI development.
I explore why the next phase of AI competition may be less about releasing another new model and more about deeper integration, data quality, domain fit, and the ability to deliver value at scale.
As model demand continues to grow, the challenge may no longer be simply building better models — it’s having the capacity and enterprise infrastructure to actually put them to work.

Today I am launching a new video and probably one of the most interesting ones that I have ever made from a research point of view. In this video I go over the impact of skills to help to drive token optimization. In a world where while tokens are getting cheaper, but the average AI transaction is going up in costs token optimization is key. This video goes over many concepts of how skills can assist you in truly optimizing your token costs. This is great for Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Workflows, Cowork, Claude Code, or any AI agent that leverages skills and plugins as a capability. We even go over the cost differential of each of the approaches and know that there is even more than token optimization as skills help drive consistency and reduce risk as well.

Microsoft is moving beyond per-seat #AI pricing—and the GitHub Copilot harness for Copilot Studio offers a clear example of what comes next.
Beginning September 1, Microsoft will charge for harness consumption, with no free developer allocation. That stands in contrast to the standard Copilot Studio harness and Salesforce Agentforce, which both give developers room to experiment.
I explore why this shift matters, how it aligns with Satya Nadella’s evolving business model, and the growing pains vendors may face as consumption becomes the new metric.

Microsoft is moving further toward consumption-based #AI pricing, and I think that shift raises an important question: how do vendors monetize AI without limiting the developer curiosity that helped drive adoption in the first place?
I break down Microsoft’s upcoming GitHub Copilot harness charges, compare its approach with Salesforce and UiPath, and explain why I expect some growing pains as consumption becomes a new metric for enterprise AI.

Better #AI reasoning comes with a price tag.
In today’s Cloud Wars AI Minute, I break down the rise of agentic reasoning loops — the plan, act, observe, and reflect cycles that are enabling AI systems to deliver deeper analysis and more resilient results.
We’re already seeing this approach across GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and other leading AI platforms. And by 2028, roughly 33% of enterprise software is expected to incorporate agentic AI.
But there’s another side to the story: consumption.
Agentic reasoning can require dramatically more tokens than traditional RAG patterns — in some cases, as much as 17x more. So even as token prices fall, the cost of individual AI transactions can actually rise.
For enterprises, that creates a new challenge: How do you get the benefits of deeper AI reasoning while keeping consumption and costs under control?
That’s going to become an increasingly important part of the enterprise AI equation.

#AI is changing not just what software can do, but how software gets priced.
The shift? As AI usage increases, traditional seat-based licensing becomes harder for vendors to sustain.
In today's Cloud Wars AI Minute, I explain why @Microsoft, @Anthropic, @Salesforce, and @OpenAI are moving toward consumption-based models as token usage becomes a bigger part of the economics.
The key takeaway: AI vendors need pricing models that reflect actual usage, especially as more complex workloads consume significantly more tokens than basic #chatbot interactions.
The move to consumption-based billing could fundamentally reshape the economics of enterprise software.

In today's Cloud Wars AI Minute, I explain why agentic reasoning loops could drive dramatically higher #token usage, with some workloads already consuming 17x more tokens than simple RAG patterns.
The key takeaway: better AI outcomes can come with a significant increase in consumption and cost.
As enterprises build more agentic solutions, managing token consumption will become just as important as improving the intelligence of the systems themselves.

Welcome to the Cloud Wars AI Minute, where we discuss the stuff your boss, boards, and investors expect you to know.
In this episode, I clear up the growing confusion around chat #agents, co-work agents, coding agents, and custom agent, and explain why choosing the right one starts with a simple question: what are you actually trying to accomplish?

Today I am launching a new video. In this video, I show you how to use the Copilot Studio plugin for Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI. This allows makers to build and test their agents on Copilot Studio from CLI interfaces and opens up great opportunities for making incredible agents with very little effort. With this you even can troubleshoot and build using best practices directly in the CLI. This tool is one of many of the great examples of the community and the CAT organization at Microsoft making some amazing tools to help drive adoption of the Copilot Studio platform allowing both makers and organizations to have amazing experiences even quicker and with better quality.
