abdul el-sayed: ben kapitalistim, adam smith okuyun!
yunus emre erdölen: hayır sen sosyalistsin😡😡😡
Abdul El-Sayed:
I'm a capitalist. Capitalism is about the leveraging of supply and demand to allocate capital. It's about free entry and exit into the market.
If you read Adam Smith, he'll tell you that there's no market without morals.
He'll tell you that the biggest risk to capitalism was never government regulation. It was always monopoly and oligopoly.
When you think about the most lucrative sectors of the economy, they are dominated by a few very, very powerful corporations.
tuhaftır ki ali abunimah da bu cenaha karşı benzer tutum almış, erdölen'e göre o da amerikan siyasetiyle 3 gün önce tanışmış olmalı sanırım... teapawt.net/AliAbunimah/status/211…
Reminds me of when @SpeakerPelosi put on a Kente cloth and kneeled. Palestinians in Gaza are living in flooded tents and being murdered daily and @AbdulElSayed remains firmly allied with the people who armed and did the crime: @BarackObama @KamalaHarris

şöyle çevireyim: an itibariyle zara larsson, mamdani'den daha fazla ""sosyalist"" fikre sahip
"Get rid of borders?" "No." "Get rid of SCOTUS?" "No." "Get rid of jails?" "No."
@ShannonBream fires off a series of questions to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani about the Democratic Socialists of America, an organization he proudly says he belongs to.
After Mamdani rejects all three proposals, Bream asks whether the DSA will kick him out. He answers "No" again, this time with laughter.

Over the next 10 years the DSA will likely mediate on a number of positions, become the dominant strain of liberalism within the Democratic Party, and advocate for corporatist economic solutions to the growing instability of faltering Western hegemonic imperialism.
We need to have two separate conversations.
1. Reactionary vs. Revolutionary
Throughout this campaign, so much of the celebration has been framed around beating AIPAC. They spent millions backing one candidate, so we must vote for the opposing candidate. A Zionist is upset? Then we must be doing something right by supporting the person they oppose.
But this is reactionary politics. And we need to understand the difference between it and revolutionary politics.
When AIPAC and Zionism become the center of our political strategy, even as the enemy, we have already allowed them to set the agenda. We are still organizing around their money, their influence, their reactions, and their approval or disapproval. Meanwhile, Palestine and Palestinian liberation take a backseat.
Revolutionary politics means refusing to play that game.
Throw AIPAC's agenda in the trash. Stop letting Zionism dictate the terms of our political engagement. Put Palestinian liberation, our people's survival, and the demands of our communities at the center. Build from the ground up, with our people, our needs, and our vision for freedom.
We don't need to organize around making our enemies angry. We need to organize around making our people free.
The goal isn't to defeat AIPAC in someone else's political game. The goal is to build a movement that makes that game irrelevant.
2. Representation in a Rotten System Is Not Liberation.
Both parties have Indigenous blood on their hands. Both uphold a system built on stolen land and genocide. But put someone who looks like you in power, and suddenly it's a victory worth celebrating?
Would you celebrate an Arab becoming prime minister of Israel? Would that make the colonization of Palestine any less criminal?
Then why should Abdul El-Sayed being Muslim excuse his politics?
Putting a Muslim face on a colonial system doesn't make it revolutionary. It makes colonialism more palatable.
And that's the danger. You become so obsessed with seeing yourself represented in power that you forget to question the power itself.
Please remember that the goal was never to see our faces among the oppressors. It was to end the oppression. To end the occupation. To liberate Palestine and all colonized people worldwide.
