Seeing this sticker helps officers recognize that someone in the vehicle may communicate, respond, or interact differently.
These free Autism Awareness stickers are designed for display on the rear window of your vehicle. They provide an important alert to first responders that an occupant may have autism and may communicate or react differently, particularly during stressful situations.
A simple sticker can help prevent misunderstandings, encourage patience and understanding, and promote safer, more effective communication during traffic stops or other interactions.
Free stickers are available for pickup at the Starkville Police Department (101 E Lampkin St, Starkville, MS 39759).

‼️STARKVILLE UTILITIES PHONE SCAM ALERT‼️
Scammers are calling residents and pretending to be Starkville Utilities. The callers claim customers are behind on their utility bills and demand immediate payment.
We ask that you never provide any personal information over the phone, to any organization, if you’re unable to verify their legitimacy. If in doubt, hang up the phone and contact the person they are claiming to be.

We've received complaints about vehicles parked in a way that obstructs traffic on city streets. Parking too close to intersections or leaving vehicles where traffic cannot safely pass creates hazards for motorists, emergency responders, school buses, sanitation trucks, and other large vehicles.
Please remember:
🚗 Park legally and as close to the curb as possible.
🚫 Never park where your vehicle blocks or restricts the normal flow of traffic.
🚒 Leave enough room for emergency vehicles to get through.
⚠️ Vehicles creating traffic hazards may be cited or towed.
A few extra steps when parking can make a big difference in keeping our neighborhoods safe and accessible for everyone.
Help us keep Starkville moving safely—park smart and be considerate of your neighbors.
