🎬 Hollywood’s "Rus" is a Russian Lie: The Colonization of History
I’ve been watching Vikings, and the episodes about "Rus" have started. Let’s be clear: this is not Rus. What we see on screen is the architecture of 16th-century Moscow, the clothing of Mongol invaders, and a culture that is a messy caricature of Russian folklore. Nature, dances, aesthetics—everything is tailored to the Russian imperial version of history, completely ignoring the facts.
🗺️ The Ghost of an Empire
During the era of the Vikings, Russia did not exist. There were no settlements on its future territory that could claim the title of a state. The Rus was centered exclusively on the territory of modern Ukraine, with its heart in Kyiv. By presenting Rus as "Early Russia," pop culture becomes a tool for the Kremlin’s propaganda, validating their fake claims to our land.
Imagine if Russia tomorrow renamed itself the "Roman Empire" and claimed half the world belonged to them because of it. Would you be outraged if Hollywood started filming series about Ancient Rome, showing Russian culture, Russian faces, and Russian myths instead of the actual Roman history? Because that is exactly what is happening with the history of Ukraine-Rus.
⚔️ The Assassin’s Creed and the War for Authenticity
This isn't an isolated incident. We saw a similar backlash with Assassin’s Creed Shadows, where the Japanese were rightfully offended by the distorted portrayal of samurai and their history. When creators prioritize "exotic aesthetics" over historical truth, they don't just make mistakes—they create elements of propaganda.
🛡️ Should Art be Fact-Checked?
Perhaps it’s time for a global conversation: should historical films, series, books, and games undergo an "authenticity check"? When fiction is built on the erasure of a nation’s true identity, it ceases to be art and becomes a weapon of soft power.
We cannot allow the history of a millennium-old European state like Ukraine to be consumed by the hungry maw of a 300-year-old empire that stole its name. Authenticity isn't just about the costumes; it's about the right of a nation to own its past.

A Turkish company, which is a supplier to the UN World Food Programme, is purchasing stolen Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied Mariupol from the russian firm "Nika," whose owners are simultaneously manufacturing drones for the russian army.
This is reported in the investigation by "Slidstvo.Info"
Інфо» hromadske.ua/suspilstvo/2613…

Interesting fact for you.
During the CAS court hearing, IOC lawyers used the fact that I was awarded a state decoration (which took place after my disqualification) as evidence that my helmet had a political character.
At the same time, they did not explain in any way how exactly this was connected.
In the photo, you can see Russian Paralympian receiving awards from Putin. But this time, neither the IOC nor the International Paralympic Committee has any questions or comments.
It seems to me that these organizations would be much better suited to the name “International Committee of Double Standards.”

Don’t look away, @la_Biennale. This is the ugly face of barbaric Russia—destroyed UNESCO World Heritage in the protected center of Lviv. This is the barbarism you wish to normalize at the Biennale. Get real!
