Polish🇵🇱 heroes: the surgeons who rushed to help the wounded police officers Two outstanding Kraków surgeons, Prof. Michał Pędziwiatr and Dr. Mateusz Wierdak, were having lunch at a restaurant near the site of yesterday’s tragedy on the Main Square. When they learned that two police officers had been seriously shot while detaining an attacker, they immediately abandoned their meal and rushed to help. One of the officers was in immediate danger of death. Professor Pędziwiatr not only helped the wounded at the scene, but later also operated on one of the officers at the hospital. Their lightning-fast reaction may have been crucial to saving the officers’ lives. Pass it on, let it spread 🇵💪

In 1977, there was a young journalist at the Rand Daily Mail who helped uncover the real cause of Biko's death, totally dismantling the Apartheid government's claim that he died from a hunger strike. Her name was Helen Zille, and you'd be lucky to have her as your Mayor.
Steve Biko’s autopsy report does not allow me to vote for the DA. It’s not possible.

My Dad was only 20 years old when was killed in Normandy in August 1944 two months before I was born. He was younger than three of my grandchildren are now. He has always been a hero to me. “When you go home, tell them of us and say, for your tomorrow, we gave our today"

Very thought provoking. If it's true of the USA it's true of everywhere..
Chamath Palihapitiya admits his blind spot on America's broken two-tier economy PALIHAPITIYA: "I got it totally totally totally wrong. I got it totally wong." "I'll go through all the ways in which I got it wrong, but I just want to first acknowledge what my blind spot is. Like most people's blind spots, but I can just speak for myself, it is through the lens of my own lived experience and very narrowly what is in my best interests. And I think what we had was a move away from the culture wars that was very much in my best interest, but I think it was in everybody else's best interests as well. I don't think that was on the ballot. But what I don't think I understood clearly enough, and I think that this election has made extremely clear, is that since COVID, we have moved past political ideology. And I want to say this again: I do not think Democrats or Republicans matter. That is my real takeaway after this election. There is a central block of people that vote the prescient issues of our time." "It was a gargantuan win for Biden, then it was a gargantuan win for Trump, and then it was a gargantuan win for the Democrats in these midterms. What are these people voting for? I think what they are shouting now—they were trying to signal and now they are shouting—is a broad-based belief that the economy has completely decoupled from reality and is broken. The economic reality in America is broken." "There is a small percentage of people, the four of us on this pod and all of our friends, who are the asset owners of America. And we have benefited in every weather condition. When rates were zero, we benefited because we were able to build our businesses with very cheap capital. When rates were high, we benefited because we had pricing power. And in every condition in between, whether there were tariffs, whether there were not tariffs, whether there were subsidies, whether there were not subsidies, we've all managed to continue to accumulate and grow assets, but we are few and far between." "And then there's everybody else who are wage earners, and the structural capacity of the American economy to support and grow wage earners is broken. It's clear. Why do I say that? I do not think, and I disagree with Freeberg, I don't think this has anything to do with socialism. I don't think the far left won particularly more than they were expected. I don't think the far right won particularly more than was expected. This is a complete and total repudiation about the state of the economy. The economy is broken. I have a few charts to support my point of view. Number one, if this was ideological and if ideology mattered, money in politics would have had a more direct impact on the election."

Wow! Scary crazy beautiful story! I never knew. Did you? When Mom and Dad are a team, pretty much anything is possible!❤️
A man was knocking on doors in Malibu asking for her teenage daughter by name. Months later, the whole world would learn who he really was. In the late 1960s, Angela Lansbury seemed to have it all. She was a three-time Oscar nominee and a Broadway star with Tony Awards on her shelf. She lived in Malibu with her husband, Peter Shaw, and their family. But inside that beautiful home, something was quietly falling apart. Her teenage son, Anthony, had started with cannabis and moved on to heroin. Her daughter, Deirdre, was drifting into the hills above Malibu, where communes, drugs and charming strangers promised freedom and love. One of those strangers was a scruffy drifter with a guitar who lived nearby in Topanga Canyon. Her stepson David later recalled that this man used to come around their house looking for Deirdre. His name was Charles Manson. At the time, he was just another odd character on the edge of the 1960s dream. Then, in August 1969, the world learned the truth. The Tate and LaBianca murders shocked the nation, and Angela realized how close the darkness had come to her own front door. The danger did not end there. Her children were still caught in that world. Anthony’s addiction grew so severe that he overdosed and fell into a coma. Then a fire swept through Malibu and destroyed the family home. Angela looked at her husband and said simply, “We have to leave.” She did not mean a vacation. She meant walking away from Hollywood, from the career she had worked at since she was a teenager, and from everything they knew. Peter agreed. In 1970, they moved the family to a quiet farmhouse in County Cork, Ireland, the land of Angela’s mother’s family. There were no Hollywood parties there, no communes in the hills, and no strangers asking for her daughter. Angela set her career aside and focused on her children. She found a local doctor who helped them through withdrawal, one painful day at a time. Slowly, the healing began. Anthony recovered first. Deirdre took longer, but she made it too. When Angela finally went back to work, she had to rebuild her career almost from the beginning. It worked out better than anyone could have imagined. In 1984, at 58 years old, she became Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote. The show ran for 12 seasons and won the hearts of millions. Behind the camera, her son Anthony, the boy she once feared she would lose, directed 68 episodes of his mother’s show. Deirdre married and opened an Italian restaurant with her husband in Los Angeles. Years later, Angela said she had no doubt they would have lost one or both of their children if they had stayed. She won five Tony Awards, became a Dame, and stayed beloved around the world until she passed in 2022 at the age of 96. But the role she was proudest of never appeared on any screen. It was being a mother who was brave enough to give up everything for her children ♥️♥️

The entire world today...
DIVORCE AGREEMENT THIS IS INCREDIBLY WELL-PUT, AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S WRITTEN BY A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM. Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way. Here is our separation agreement: Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets, since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. —We don't like redistributive taxes, so you can keep them. --You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. --Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military. --We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar, and bio-diesel. --You can keep Oprah, Whoopi, Bill Maher, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all five of them. --We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. --You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens. --We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEOs, and rednecks. --We'll keep Bill O’Reilly and Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood. --You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. --You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. --When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security. --We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. --You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness, and Shirley McLaine. You can also have the UN., but we will no longer be paying the bill. --We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find. --You can give everyone health care if you can find any practicing doctors. --We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem." --I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine," "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," "Kum Baya," or "We Are the World." --We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle-up poverty your best shot. --Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name, and our flag. Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you might think about which one of us will need whose help in 15 years. Sincerely, John J. Wall Law Student and an American P.S. Also, please take George Clooney, Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Short, Charlie Sheen, Barbra Streisand, and (Hanoi) Jane Fonda with you. P.P.S. And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country. Forward This Every Time You Get It ! Let's Keep This Going, Maybe Some Of It Will Start Sink in.

Here we go, Ward 28, Emfuleni! 2021 ANC: 3400 Votes (52.08%) DA: 979 Votes (15%) 2026 ANC: 2264 Votes (22.05%) 30.03% ⬇️ DA: 4246 Votes (41.36%) 26.36%⬆️ What is seriously fascinating is that the DA received more votes than the ANC did in 2021. This is the pattern in Emfuleni

Truth..👇🏻
Whatever any of us think of the ANC, of SA politics or of the IEC, what we all should be grateful for, is that we have a democratic vote and an expectation that power can be win and lost at the polls. That’s a lot more than citizens of many other countries can claim.

I know where I stand too. Where I've always stood.
Dr. Phil says dislike of the Jews is not because they've ever done anything wrong, it's because you don't want to be hold morally accountable by their fake God... "If you don't like being morally accountable, you blame the Jews" "You don't like God's message, you go after the messenger" "If the Jews disappeared, then I'm off the hook. No guilt, no moral conscience, no accountability" "The Jews are not going anywhere. The question isn't whether the Jewish people will survive this. They will. The question is which side of history the rest of us want to be standing on when it's over" 00:13:59.680 when it's over
