- Father – Beloved Daughter of the Father
- Son – Mother of the Son
- Holy Spirit – Spouse of the Holy Spirit

🔔 TODAY THE CHURCH CELEBRATES
St. Martin de Porres
November 3
🕊️ WHAT WE REMEMBER
St. Martin de Porres was a Dominican lay brother from Peru who devoted his life to prayer, caring for the sick and serving the poor. Known for his humility and kindness, he treated everyone with dignity and love.
🔥 WHY IT MATTERS
St. Martin reminds us that holiness is found in humble service. Every person deserves compassion, and even the simplest acts of kindness can reflect Christ's love.
👣 HOW WE LIVE IT
Look for someone who may need a helping hand today. Offer your time, share what you have or show kindness to someone who might otherwise go unnoticed.
❓ CATHOLIC CURIOUS?
Why do Catholics have patron saints?
Patron saints are holy men and women recognized as special intercessors for particular people, professions or needs. St. Martin de Porres is a patron saint of social justice and those who work for racial harmony.
Catholics ask the saints to pray with and for us, just as we ask family and friends for their prayers.
Curious about the Catholic faith? OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) begins at your parish. Come explore, ask questions and discover the Catholic faith! dioceseoftulsa.org/ocia
🙏 TODAY WE PRAY
St. Martin de Porres, teach us to serve with humility, love without distinction and recognize Christ in everyone we meet. Pray for us. 🙏
✝️Tuesday, Nov. 3 of Vocations Awareness Week – Priesthood
"Lord, we thank You for our priests. Bless them with strength and joy as they serve Your Church, and send more young men to follow You in the priesthood."
If you know someone who carries the Spirit within them - someone who loves deeply, serves generously, and lives their faith boldly - invite them to learn more about priesthood or religious life.

On this All Souls’ Day, Bishop David A. Konderla celebrated Mass at Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa, gathering with the faithful to remember and pray for all who have gone before us.
In his homily, Bishop Konderla reflected on God's great mercy and the hope we find in the Church's teaching on Purgatory. He began with a familiar experience: arriving at a party expecting casual dress, only to discover that everyone else is dressed formally. Even when the host warmly welcomes us inside, we may still feel unprepared to enter.
Bishop Konderla used this simple example to help us understand the perfection of heaven and the meaning of this commemoration of all the faithful departed. Those who are in heaven have been perfected, for heaven admits no imperfection. Yet, as he reminded us, we are still sinners. We desire to be perfect and strive to live in obedience to God out of love for Him, but we recognize that we continue to fall short. How many of us could say we are already perfect and fully prepared to enter heaven?
This is where we find such great hope in God's mercy. Through the merits of Jesus Christ, God has provided a way for souls to be purified of their remaining imperfections even after death, making them perfect and ready for that face-to-face encounter with Him in heaven. This gives us hope not only for ourselves, but also for our beloved dead, who remain in God's loving care.
Bishop Konderla also reminded the faithful that praying for our departed loved ones is not limited to All Souls’ Day. At every Mass, we can bring their names to the altar, entrusting them to God's mercy and asking Him to receive them and make them perfect.
As we remember our beloved dead today, may we find comfort in God's mercy and continue to pray for their purification and eternal joy in heaven.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

On this All Souls’ Day, the Chancery staff gathered for Mass celebrated by Vicar General Fr. Gary Kastl.
In his homily, Fr. Kastl reminded us of our sacred responsibility as Catholics to pray for the dead, one of the seven spiritual works of mercy. Death does not end our spiritual connection with those who have gone before us. Through our prayers, we continue to show our love and assist the souls in Purgatory as they prepare for eternal life with God.
In a special remembrance, staff members added the names of their departed loved ones to a Book of Remembrance, while cherished photographs were placed before the altar, a beautiful reminder of those we continue to hold in our hearts and prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
FAITHFUL CITIZENSHIP | Putting Faith Before Politics
Tomorrow, November 3, as we participate in the general election, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops reminds us that our Catholic faith must guide our civic responsibilities and the choices we make.
In a time of political division, we are called to put faith before politics, form our consciences in the light of Church teaching, and uphold the God-given dignity of every human person.
Like the Good Samaritan, we are called to look beyond our differences, love our neighbors, care for the vulnerable, and work together for the common good.
As disciples of Christ, may we bring the light of the Gospel into our communities through mercy, compassion, and justice.
