Please stay mindful of accessable needs in these times to, what’s inconvenient for us could be terrifying for our blind & deaf people and agony for those that can’t stand for long
Thank you
So true. Super ruff on disability community a daily juggling act to operate in an in accessible environment can be dangerous & scary when plans and supports change of stop,

An @AklTransport ELT member called me & said they’re bringing as many peak services forward as they can.
Extra services leaving city should be arriving now as well as trying to continue normal timetable.
Testing of rail network being done & they’ll announce more services asap.
Please stay mindful of accessable needs in these times to, what’s inconvenient for us could be terrifying for our blind & deaf people and agony for those that can’t stand for long
Thank you
Hey @AklTransport I know you’ll likely be trying to do your best. But the peak commuter time is NOW & if you can get more buses on that would be awesome.
This line for the NX1 snakes up around the corner and onto the PWC building mezzanine area. It is the same down at my bus.

Some people keep saying "NZ shouldn't worry about cutting emissions because we're relatively small."
There are 𝟭𝟯𝟬 countries which emit less than NZ and together produce more climate pollution than the US or China.
It's a selfish and self-defeating argument.

Definitely delicate Simpson did an incredible job last time of management of him & the disaster should be a lot easier only having to manage one ☝️

As we enter into polyfest fiafia nights I hope each school knows that the mayoral proposal, annual budget will cut council’s support for this major event that draws over 100,000 Aucklanders together to celebrate identity and culture.

Call them Truency Officers by all means, but if they are not going out to help with uniform needs, stationary costs, and other financial factors that are a barrier to kids attending school then there is literally no point.
Awesome piece, states hardest hit Māori & pacific actually will be disabled Māori & pacific, then disabled women on my way back to help where I can, need all the creative problem solvers we can, disabled people been solving problems with no cash since forever
Thank you for reporting on this. It makes no sense to me that we cut funding that directly supports community, shortsighted cuts that would effect long term change. Inequality in Auckland deepens, with fears budget cuts will worsen the struggle stuff.co.nz/national/politic…

2nd internal struggle- personal disability wellness & family goals, Vs professional ambition & desire to serve my community. Won’t choose trying both send luck 🍀 lol
Humility to take responsibility for lack of contingency & being driven/confident enough to try and convince funders you got the goods worth funding post recent events in business/ weather a constant internal conflict 🤔
Is diversity & inclusion & so called experts in it, that exclude disability not in fact an oxymoron? Or am I getting to sensitive? Open to feedback

Your hate for the rainbow community is not more important than a safe workplace for library staff or performers.
It is not more important than a fun event for kids & families who choose to attend.
Thinking of our library staff, the drag performer & the kids who were affected.
3 news just now, Hold up did they just say 2018 census 1/3 Māori & pacific missed ?
Surely I didn’t hear that correctly?

$44,000 worth of period products on their way to Hawkes Bay. We may be a wee charity @ThePeriodPlace but we try our bloody hardest. Even when we are in bed with tonsillitis. Even when funding is drying up. We can’t give up, and neither can #Aotearoa #NewZealand #CycloneGabrielle
