The change that happened for me, that changed my life in to before and after, was when I understood that all the things I find lacking about the world and the people in it, which felt like a lacking on behalf of the world, something the world withheld and denied me, is in fact lacking and not unique in its relationship to me, it's lacking for everyone, so where does it make sense to expect it from? Who can supply what all lack? And I understood that that lacking is not something lacking in me, something the world must give me before I am willing to play, but rather, it is my job as a man to fill the void as best I can, for the world. No one can give it to me, because it is already mine, and it's mine to give

"we want to ensure the internet is a safe place"
category error. the internet is not "a place" but "a thing". it is a tool, not a room you walk into. "going on the internet" is not actually going anywhere. its using a tool to induce a mild hallucination in yourself. the entire retarded debate is pointless, because you can never make "healthy technology" so long as you have this fundamental misconception, which, of course, is on purpose, the interfaces are designed to facilitate this at every level and no one with any investment in it has any interest in making it any other way, and literally everyone, even your favorite based presidents who own the eurolibs, are wasting everyones time. the "internet" will never be "safe" because it is a toolbox with hammers and nails and scissors and screwdrivers, and people try to use it as a house and then wonder "hey why am I getting stuck by all these sharp edges all the time, this house is really dangerous!". but it's not a house you are just really stupid

Just remember. When God calls you to do something, he's already taken into consideration your retardation.

"but what if I become a bricklayer carpenter and then the Chinese deep state wants me to build a BAD house, then I'm still fucked". Then you say no and suffer the consequences of having coherent principles and living in the truth, and you become happy and have a meaningful life

Norm Macdonald thought ideas are not our own, rather, they are plucked from the ether of the unconscious and reproduced in solid form
The internet is an amalgamation of all these ideas, and interfacing with it is like having a big sloppy dream, another unconscious to untangle

People put themselves in precarious situations where they can get hurt, not because they want to get hurt or even for the wicked thrill of it, but paradoxically because they want to feel safe. If you solve the fundamental lacking, the behaviour ceases

The answer is simple: The audience is not you. These are not political agendas, attempting to sway real people in the real world. It's not "for you" just because it says it's for you.
The left has no theory of mind for you, we say - but you also are blind to their world. You have to go several fundamental assumptions back. You assume that the propagandists are rational actors trying to sway the audience, to achieve some kind of downstream tangible real world effect. They might be cynical about it, or do it for cynical reasons, but that MUST be what they are doing, because nothing else makes sense and would be utterly insane. They are utterly insane.
The purpose of leftist political propaganda is not to inform or sway or affect any material change. They don't want to win. You are misidentifying the authors motivation. They are utterly insane and live in a deranged solipsistic hell where every moment is pain and humiliation, and their motivation is not to make the pain go away

I haven't seen a single one of these "white straight male" outreach attempts that didn't chastise, insult or finger wag their supposed target audience. All vinegar; no honey.

Negotiables
Satan will whisper a billion reasons to be weak in your ear, and you may be tempted to drift
So set the things you need to do as non negotiables, then execute on them till they become habits

what is the defining cultural product of the past decade, of this time period and cultural age? "cum town". the irony "comedy podcast" has defined the era to the point where the democratic presidential campaign is now, as many have observed, an "irony leftist campaign". what is "cum town"? A friendship simulator. How does it work? by obscuring the realization that the consumer-listener is lonely, through use of vulgar references - to sex, and I think very importantly - to "racism". what is the joke in irony snark leftism? just mentioning the concept of racism itself. it functions exactly like the media reference (in many places the two will naturally overlap), or the scatological reference. As the previous generation, where TV sells you the idea that you can stand out from the masses and be an individual, even as you know that what defines the masses is they are watching TV just like you, so too does the modern friendship simulator absolve you for your own participation
I was thinking recently about my "reference" theory in the NPC question. this principle also carries into the pre-mass media realm: the "vulgar joke" for the most part, operates according to the same principle as the "pop culture reference", in that it is just a reference to a bodily function. the "joke" operates on the same principle, it is this psychological "return to the private experience" to escape the pressure of social performance in the public sphere. The relieved tension of the sex, fart, or poop joke is the same relief as the Bazinga! Star Wars Rick And Morty joke.

around the middle point of the movie, there is a big violent action sequence of people murdering each other, and it is layered in all these layers of irony and sarcasm and supposed "intellectalism", and the movie wants you to forget what is happening and just laugh at it, when what is happening on a narrative level as well as on just a frank literal, is decent good people are being decieved and horribly murdered for no reason, and everything the movie is, the basic idea of the movie if you distill it to its core, is "laugh at innocence being abused". snarl at other's pain. there has been much talk about "normie sadism". this movie is a temple to it. where the normal super hero slob makes excuses and hides its weirdness, here in the "ironic" and "sarcastic" deadpool, there is really no irony or sarcasm, but sincerity: it just openly implores you to sadism. enjoy the pain of others. that's the entire joke. there is no cleverness, no writing, no irony, no creativity, no effort. there is only a thin veneer of sarcasm that obscures sincerity as "irony", but there is nothing ironic about it. it is abject misery, a testament to and initiation into, normie sadism. deadpool and wolverine is what you think "120 days of sodom" is when you first hear about it

I see now that the discourse is about whether it is bad to "do cancel culture" to "the woke" because "then we are no better than them". It's a complicated situation but the real answer is, it is bad because the words "cancel culture" and "woke" are explicitly lower class, low resolution vocabulary, that is "loaned" from african-american vonacular, and in their unironic adaptation people still cling to the mainstream reverance the american black culture (real or imagined) as "cool" and "edgy" or even "masculine". it is indeed "bad" to "do cancel culture" to "the woke", but not because it is "hypocritical". it is bad because it is still you framing yourself according to their perception, it is still you asking the left "who am I?", letting them define you, and the measuring stick by which we define things: "how much are you like a "cool black guy". It would be good if you are "applying the law unceremoniously", it would be good if you believed in your own project. until you do, and you just think about it as "turnabout is fair play" "They started it!", then it is bad, because then you are passive, reactive, and a pussy. if you can think about it as restoring order and normalcy and not crying over it, then it is good.
