Reese falls in love with Sarah from a picture of her. Tells her "I always wondered what you were thinking in that moment" and turns out she's mourning his death while carrying their child.
People think this just a dumb action movie and not achingly romantic.

mad men is the best show of all time. not because of nostalgia, or even the exquisite production. its because it was the last time ambiguity was allowed to be shown on television. every show now is marvel avenger slop. even the weird ones club you over the head with dense morals.

At times, the joy that life attacks me with is unbearable and leads to gasping hysterical laughter. I find myself completely out of control and wonder how could life could surprise me again and again and again, so completely. How could a man be a cynic? It is a sin.

Norm Macdonald, on top of everything else, was author of the single best tweet in history and it’s not that close. Don’t expect it to be surpassed any time soon. RIP.

Another wrench thrown into the Canada US negotiations collapse.
Donald Trump calls bs on Mark Carney's claim on the French part with "I would never interfere with Canadians speaking French"...a statement that also doesn't really make sense.
More than anything, it seems like something was lost in translation and perhaps over the most minor detail.
What's clear is that Canada tried to tax US streaming companies with a ridiculously bad Bill.
Who do you believe?
Reporter: Does President Trump still want Canada to become a state?
Bessent: I think he would like Canada to come to the table and negotiate in good faith. They were offered quite a good deal last week. They chose to reject it. Unfortunately, Prime Minister Carney rose to power on an anti-American, anti-Trump platform. I think one has to ask, is he trying to benefit himself, the Liberal Party or the Canadian people, because they were offered a very good job

Great Story on Mike Keane Below.
My Two Cents, Presented Humbly.
Mike Keane was an absolute gamer.
Won a Stanley Cup with three different teams.
Montreal 1993.
Colorado 1996.
Dallas 1999.
After 1,161 games in the NHL - he played five seasons for the Manitoba Moose from ages 38-43.
Guy clearly loved the game.
Gaaamer!

5 or 6 of me and my teammates were outside the Stars Valley Ranch practice facility in 2000 or so having a beer in the parking lot after our Men’s league games at midnight ( maybe 1 AM) , Stars just got back from their flight from a tough road game , and were getting in their cars, we rarely ever said anything to them in these situations because we didn’t want to be dorky fanboys , but Keane walks past us and says “I remember when all it took was a beer to wash away a bad game” We held up a Shiner, and he actually joined us for a couple like he was one of the boys… simpler times, great dude

It’s kind of perplexing that DAVE GROHL wrote one of the most haunting and romantic songs of the ‘90s lol
Dave Grohl wrote “Everlong” while falling in love with Louise Post of Veruca Salt, shortly after the collapse of his first marriage. The drum track was actually recorded by Grohl himself after original drummer William Goldsmith quit the band out of frustration with the producer.
The song reached #3 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart, but its legacy transcends rock radio. It famously became TV host David Letterman's all-time favorite song, and he had the band perform it upon his return from heart surgery in 2000 and again to close his final late-night broadcast in 2015. The song's dreamlike music video, directed by Michel Gondry, won the Best Group Video award at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards.

Friends from Toronto sent me this. Apparently, this was seen on the 401 heading south this past week.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The image is an altered version of a 2020 "Bye CA!" photo about leaving California, itself digitally edited. Detectors rate it 96-99% AI-generated. Hwy 401 primarily runs east-west.
