The 28th Harbin Ice-Snow World will expand its site area to 1.25 million square metres, with a total ice-and-snow consumption of 400,000 cubic metres, hitting a new all-time record for scale. The information was released at the launching ceremony of the 2026-2027 ice-snow tourism promotion event“Crown of Ice-Snow, Invitation from Heilongjiang” held by the Heilongjiang provincial ice-and-snow tourism development promotion association on October 12. Centering on six major sections—ice-snow landscapes, recreational experiences, performing-arts events, ice-snow sports events, thematic IPs and supporting services, the 28th Harbin Ice-Snow World is set to deliver an immersive winter ice-snow tourism feast for visitors from home and abroad. “Key attractions including the main entrance, iconic main tower and Dream Grand Stage will feature brand-new designs. Interactive experiences will also see notable upgrades,” said Sun Zemin, presenter for Harbin Ice-Snow World. A brand-new group of super ice slides will be added this year to bring visitors greater fun from ice-snow activities. Moving forward, the Heilongjiang provincial ice-and-snow tourism development promotion association will host serial ice-snow tourism promotion roadshows in Xiamen, Chongqing, Shanghai and other cities, to further expand the influence of its ice-snow cultural-tourism brand and attract more tourists to travel north for ice-snow fun this winter.
