Who you mean with "they" ? Reforger was was never a tech demo. it was was presented to us at 1st as "the way to arma 4" so the game engine can be developed and modders can adapt to the new engine. Its never to late to start modding , as you see mods are released weekly.

arma reforger is the road to arma 4 , so the engine is what is in development all teh time. of course there will be problems. problems we eventualle would not have anymore when arma 4 is released.
Its a problem on your mashine. Is it maybe that the files of your system has been altered by the "internetsites" you are visiting :D ? there are thousend of pll including me the game dont crash. maybe think about that. or post your systemstats pll can help.
Trackir support is in since the last 2 patches ;) And i cant play without it anymore , since arma 2. Hotas is really missing , but i got to use my dualjoystick setup with the tool JoyToKey , and mapped mousemovment to joystick axes. works useable. not perfect , but ok for now.

the problem is on your end, check you router or firewall if it blocks arma reforger. are you using VPN ? how far away is the location of the server you are playing on ?
