VIDEO | Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Amarnath Yatra, says, "As you rightly pointed out, we are seeing a huge inflow of pilgrims to Shri Amarnath Yatra this year that began on the 3rd of July and a lot of people who have not registered themselves or unregistered pilgrims are turning up, which became a challenge for us in the initial few days and we also appeal to the people that please register yourselves online. And things have now streamlined over the past couple of days with the increase in transit accommodations which were made available at the directions of the honorable LG. Similarly, the facility for on-spot registration has also been enhanced and augmented to make sure that pilgrims do not face any inconvenience. As of 1.00 PM today, more than 1 lakh pilgrims have had darshans at the holy cave and the darshan process is ongoing on smoothly. Senior officers have been deployed at both the base camps of Pahlgam as well as as Baltal and regular reviews are being undertaken at the level of the Shrine Board as well as at the level of administration to make sure that all the facilities are extended to the pilgrims and Yatra goes on smoothly." #AmarnathYatra2026 (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)
