Another thing to note: The internal investigation finished in under a month. Because of the SPOG contract, It takes SPD up to TWO YEARS to fire cops with identical amounts of evidence.

Incredible. There was more than enough evidence to convict Officer Andrew Swartz of stalking his ex. (Wasn’t charged) 200+ pages of photos, witness statements, etc. they’ve had enough to fire him for two years, but he stayed on paid leave making $118k

It gets worse. This happened in August 2025. He emotionally blackmailed her into staying with him by threatening suicide. She didn’t move out until June of this year, and didn’t feel safe reporting him until August 2026.

Nazis are universally considered bad. Brandi is so palpably offended by a Dead Kennedys shirt with a crossed-out swastika that she used it as a gotcha to show how "extreme" Thorns fans are. What message do you take from that?
Replying to @DivestSPD
"you see we call ourselves the anti-bad guys, so everything we do is good! if you oppose us you must be against the anti-bad people, this makes you a bad person"

Whatever you do, do not spam the email account [email protected]. Please don't add it to mailing lists for herbal dick pills. Don't send it to a Nigerian prince trying to get his fortune back.

what a misleading headline - "[SPD] has had 18 vacant parking enforcement positions since 2020, and Mayor Katie Wilson’s budget proposal eliminates half of them" what "revenue" are 9 of 18 vacant parking cop positions that have been open for 6 years generating exactly?? 🙄

Bold pro-Nazi stance from Brandi.
These are the shirts allowed for the @ThornsFC fans. None of them were removed. They have chants about burning people alive. Fans assaulted multiple people wearing @xx_xyathletics shirts. None of them were removed. I am quite literally in shock.

🚨 Andrea Smith-Taylor went on a Christmas Eve shopping spree in 2024 for her kids, but police arrested her that night, sending her home empty handed. Two years later, gifts like a PlayStation and clothes have never been returned. “We have not been able to find them, so she was forced to tell her children that those gifts were just gone,” said her attorney, Anca Grigore, director of the Brooklyn Defender Services’ seizure and surveillance defense project. Smith-Taylor is one of six plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit filed against the city this week. They all claiming their property was improperly seized, retained, sold, destroyed or otherwise never returned. The Brooklyn Defenders, which filed the lawsuit Wednesday, said hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers have their property seized by the NYPD each year in connection with an arrest or as a witness or victim of an alleged crime. When people try to get their belongs—like cash, electronics and jewelry—returned, they face a "labyrinthian system of contradictory instructions, arbitrary requirements, and dead ends across precincts, property clerk offices, and auto pounds,” the Brooklyn Defenders said. “New Yorkers are losing their property to the tune of tens of millions of dollars every single year to the NYPD,” said Grigore. She said bodycam footage showed officers assuring Smith-Taylor they'd get those gifts to her kids, but they never made it. “They're completely lost to the system,” Grigore said, adding the City's current process “functions more to deprive New Yorkers of their property than to ensure that New Yorkers get their property back.” An NYPD spokesperson said the department would review the lawsuit and that the incidents described in it were also under review. 🎤 @amandatalex reports 📸 Michael Nagle/Bloomberg via Getty Images, New York Daily News
