Key tweet. I understand the imperfection of officiating but, 95% of winning is dependent on what we do or don’t do. T.O. had an axiom about playing well enough that you don’t have to let an outcome be dependent upon an officiating call.
Replying to @Jsirles71
I think the 14 previous plays were a key factor also.

On the B1G officiating…years ago when instant replay first came out, I remember asking former Husker all-American, NFL lineman, and longtime NCAA referee Kelly Saalfeld about it. His opinion was that it would erode officials skill set. I think football is better w/ replay…1/2

2/2 But, I also think Saalfeld was right.

Just saw Jurgens traded to Ravens?! With Lane Johnson retiring, this feels weirdly like they’re conceding the season.

I was lucky to be a medical school classmate w/ Dr. Strong. She’s an absolute tribute to Nebraska’s medical community.
Celebrating 18 years as faculty @unmc! This journey helped me fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. Mentoring, guiding, & teaching thousands of students & physicians over the years has been a blessing. Grateful for the opportunity to help others grow! ❤️ (1st faculty pic)

Godspeed Dave, rest easy. Absolute icon for Nebraska high school and youth wrestling. Dave was a huge proponent for both the sport in general and particularly for the growth of girls wrestling in Nebraska.
It’s with heavy hearts that we are sharing the news of the passing of longtime Nebraska wrestling official and two-time state champion Dave Walton. To his family Dave was known as the mayor of wrestling town. Known by so many around the state due to so many years contributing to the sport. Dave was a two-time state champion for Westside High School and part of the 1976 state championships team. He wrestled collegiately at UNO. Most know him as a longtime Nebraska wrestling official. If you’ve been around wrestling in Nebraska in the last 60 years - you’ve likely been around him. A wrestler through and through. The season ahead will no doubt feel different without Dave on the mats. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
