The PHI rebate is the worst health policy decision in my lifetime. At least beginning to reduce it for people over 65 is a step towards intergenerational equity and the beginning of winding back our two tiered health system. Once again the Greens are on the wrong side of equity
The Senate has rejected the government's controversial budget measure to cut the private health insurance rebate for people 65 and older. @michellegrattan @UniCanberra theconversation.com/senate-t…

The share of national income going to the richest 10 percent was lowest (and share to lower 90 percent highest) when union membership was at its highest. As unions have weakened, inequality has widened.
This is why we must build back union power.
They have been a dynamic duo and have both strengthened the union movement and advocated for a fairer more just Australia. They have been able to put sone restraint on the unfettered accumulation of capital into the pockets of the super rich Thankyou abc.net.au/news/2026-07-27/a…
The name of a Ghana soccer midfielder is all over the media after he was refused entry into Canada because he is facing multiple rape charges. Normally there are immediate consequences to being on multiple rape charges unless you are a senior, white male doctor in Alice Springs.

This is such great news for social justice in Australia. Housing is for living in and should not be one of the most attractive ways to make a profit. This delivers something significant for all Australians currently locked out of the housing market. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-05/l…

📢 No to genocide. No to war. No to ICE. Trillions of dollars poured into occupying communities from DC to Palestine, Chicago to Venezuela while people suffer, starving, unable to make rent or get medical treatment.
