Tonight’s watch was the ambitious ‘City of Death’! My partner enjoyed the performances esp. Tom, a few too many tracking shots in places but engaging and entertaining. He wouldn’t give it my higher ranking but loved Paris, laughed at Duggan’s brawn. Overall, 8 for the tracking.

Tonight’s watch was the ambitious ‘City of Death’! My partner enjoyed the performances esp. Tom, a few too many tracking shots in places but engaging and entertaining. He wouldn’t give it my higher ranking but loved Paris, laughed at Duggan’s brawn. Overall, 8 for the tracking.

We also watched the first episode of ‘Invasion of the Dinosaurs’, but I didn’t tell him the title to see if it affected his experience of what is genuinely so atmospheric and eerie when you can’t identify the threat! It really is a brilliant story! 🦖🦕

Today I introduced my partner to ‘The Time Warrior’; a classic in many senses: Sarah Jane (my partner already loved)’s 1st story, the first Sontaran story, first NameDrop for Gallifrey. He thought the sets and costuming were particularly great and enjoyed Jon P’s cheekiness! 8/10

My partner and I are watching a classic Doctor Who story a day this week, and tonight we started with ‘The Time Meddler’. The rewatch cemented how much of a GOAT Douglas C was with creative vision and execution. The shots are beautiful! Also, Edith is a boss! Big thumbs up!
