Me enjoying Sleep No More with all my friends. They’re just out of frame, enjoying it too.

I want them to stop bringing back classic era companions if the writers aren’t really going to do anything with them. Tegan, Ace, and Mel, for me, are more or less cameos that could be dropped from the episodes. Easily replaced.

the Doctor is trapped on a landmine, with an hour to live. Can he and Ruby prevent the explosion, or has our favourite Time Lord finally run out of time..? Welcome back to Doctor Who, Steven Moffat!! what a BELTER of an episode- had to toss together a bit of art to commemorate!

This quote by Moffat in @taigooden's Nerdist interview about the ending Boom goes for is really good. Love seeing the creative push and pull behind plot decisions in Doctor Who. nerdist.com/article/steven-m…

The Chibnall era only seems better now that you’re rewatching because it’s no longer the current era. It doesn’t matter as much, it’s the past. Much easier to enjoy in those circumstances. It’s still very poor. The characters are still paper thin.

Rory apparently dying every week but revealed to be alive at the end: “No Amy, I escaped out the back door of that building just before it was hit by the meteorite” or “Luckily I got out of that taxi seconds before it spontaneously exploded”.

One of the main probs with the Timeless Child is there’s just too much going on. Doc isn’t from Gallifrey. Was dumped/appeared there. Was taken in and used as science experiment. Gave time lords ability to regenerate-
The Timeless Child is a far better idea than Bi-regeneration. There I said it.

The big differences are that: (a.) “the Timeless Child” imposes a continuity and canon on “Doctor Who”, whereas the Toymaker stuff effectively wipes the slate clean; and (b.) “the Timeless Child” is a continuity and lore reveal, whereas the bigeneration is a character beat;

Three things: (a.) the Doctor risks fracturing time to save her, because he has “a duty of care” to the person he travels with; (b.) interesting how we assume women should be “likeable”; and (c.) telling that people get so outraged at Clara for calling the Doctor on his sh!t.

I wrote a piece a couple of years ago about how one unlikely consequence of the Chibnall era was the reaffirmation of the Moffat era as a high point in the history of "Doctor Who." Demonstrating the value and appeal of Moffat's vision of the show. them0vieblog.com/2020/03/06/…
