👏 An important win for Jaissle

Matthias Jaissle on Will Osula: "A striker's job, right? He did an amazing job. We're happy that he's getting back on track.
"He was out for a long time. So now physically, he's improving - and he's a player with huge potential." #NUFC
Will Osula: "It was a top cross from Murphy [for my goal]. I was speaking to him about giving me that one cross and I would have the connection ready. I’m so happy he did the cross and I could score.
"It was important that we got a win and the three points today. We need to take what we did today and take it into the next games."
First clean sheet in five Premier League games ✅
FT: Crystal Palace 0-2 Newcastle United
Much better in the second half from NUFC and a much needed win.
Would have only been two points above the bottom three had they lost today. Instead, they're up to 7th, two points off the potential Champions League places.
Funny old game.
Willock has the ball in the net. Tidy finish, but it's offside.
More quality and cutting edge from NUFC in the first five minutes of the second half than the previous six halves of football combined here.
Will Osula's first touch inside the box and the deadlock is broken by NUFC!
Good ball in from Jacob Murphy. Good movement for the finish.
If ever a game needed a spark.
HT: Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle United
Selhurst Park stinker™
NUFC so easy to play against at the moment. Just so happens Palace aren't exactly at the races themselves. A better team would have punished them.
Interested to see how NUFC get on defensively after shipping eight in their last two away matches.
Fabian Schar & Dan Burn starting for the first time in the PL this season. Schar's first league start since January.
Amar Dedic, Will Osula & Jacob Murphy also back in the side🔀

Radical changes from the gaffer as Schar and Burn return to the backline.
Newcastle will rely on the same veteran duo that helped them beat the drop five seasons ago but, ultimately, it is the right decision imo. #NUFC

Matthias Jaissle on Sean Steur: "First of all, we are all sure what great potential Sean has.
"He has shown that already. Right now, Nico (Gonzalez) is doing the job good in that position.” #NUFC
Bruno Guimaraes on leaving NUFC: "I lost many, many nights of sleep because it was difficult for me, for my family.
"I never felt so loved like the way I was at Newcastle. I hope I can have the same love here at Arsenal, the connection I had was unbelievable."
