There's a swift under our eaves. I can hear it screaming at the others as they zoom past and I think I might burst. @dogwooddays_nic @Kate_Bradbury
Got back from a lovely long weekend to find that "lineside vegetation management" actually means ground zero. What I would like to know from @networkrail is (a thread):

Yesterday we cleared our pond and cut back the tall vegetation that was blocking the light to it. Thanks to our courageous pond volunteers including @DominicCoath
Last pic is a before shot showing how shady the pond had become

Day 22 of our minipond. We've added a water avens and flowering rush and two oligochaete worms have added themselves, I assume intentionally as they seem quite happy (by which I mean not dead) Any idea what they are @Freshwaterhabs?
Lovely morning down @triangle_garden clearing out the pond. Getting some of the silt, branches and rubbish out should make it better for wildlife ahead of relining it, hopefully in the autumn!
Otter spraint at Flitwick Moor? Smelt of hay. @wildlifebcn @Mammal_Society I made the whole family sniff it for good measure. Hope @ChrisGPackham would approve...!

Utterly ludicrous and deeply disappointing move on #coal from @michaelgove that substantially undermines the UK's climate budgets and global diplomatic credibility #NoNewCoal 👇

Today on #BiodiversityDay at #COP27 UK's @theresecoffey highlights that the UK will do everything it can to make CBD #COP15 a success and to make it a "Paris moment" for nature. We need to see this signal reflected in the Cover Decision here at COP27

"We are running out of time to address climate change for future generations. We need implementation, implementation, implementation" So says the #COP27 Egyptian President. Will delegates take heed in the next critical 2 weeks for climate, nature and people? 🌍
