October 27th, 2026 Update: I am finally able to eat and am slowly getting my strength back. Everything ChatGPT and my Doctor told me to expect was true, meaning, because there is No cure recovery will vary by person but more than likely take months and weeks, not days, and it won't be, and isn't, linear.....meaning, one day I can sit upright, walk, even drive, and be fairly active then the next day my head is just swimming and I cannot get off the counch and sleep all day.
My Tongue still burns, my eyelids burn, my vision is still blurry and I am still very weak and wobbly but.....I can eat and I'm slowly getting more energy as time goes on.
I have read each and every one of your replies to my original post, I am extremely humbled and grateful to all of you who chose to take the time and effort to reach out, Thank You. I know you have probably heard it a gazillion times in your life, but, there is absolutely nothing worse or more humbling than losing your health.....its just so easy to take it for granted, myself included.
I'm trying to do as much as I can each day, right now my head is swimming from sitting at the computer, desktop, for 2 hours so as soon as I get this update done, I am going to lay down for however long.
Thanks again for your concern, I really appreciate it, I look forward to pulling out of this eventually and being able to fully function again.
