Today we signed the MoU on the Strategic and Economic Partnership Dialogue between the #Liechtenstein & the #USA @USEmbassyBern committing us to regular meetings at senior official level & an even closer exchange on issues of bilateral, global & multilateral interest 🇱🇮🤝🇺🇸
Im Namen der Liechtensteinischen Regierung gratuliere ich Romano Püntener ❤️-lichst zum
heutigen sensationellen olympischen Rennen! Wir sind sehr stolz auf dich🍀🇱🇮🚴♂️👍🏻
Always an honor to meet DSG @AminaJMohammed. Today we discussed the ambitions and challenges for the upcoming Summit of the Future as well as the important role of small states to revitalize #multilateralism. LI will remain a vocal advocate for the #RuleOfLaw.
I am grateful for the excellent conversation with ASG @khiari_khaled earlier today – we discussed current threats to international #peace & security, focusing particularly on the dire situation in Gaza. LI remains deeply concerned about the risk of escalation in wider region.
It was great to meet the Executive Director of UN Women @unwomenchief again to discuss women’s rights in crisis zones. I assured her of Liechtenstein’s commitment to protect and promote gender equality, including through the revitalization of CSW. #SDG5
I was delighted to meet with @UNDP Administrator @ASteiner at the UN in New York to mark the new strategic partnership of Liechtenstein’s #SDG flagship #FASTInitiative with UNDP - together we continue our important work towards the achievement of SDG8.7. #EndModernSlavery
It is my hope that others will join us in support of the next phase of FAST under the leadership of UNDP, to eradicate slavery and trafficking by 2030. #SDGs
I was honoured to celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations between 🇲🇽 and 🇱🇮. The release of the commemorative stamp marking this milestone reflects the mutual respect our countries have for each other. Thank you @aliciabarcena and @ce_jaber for your friendship.
Today the opening of the new 🇺🇦Honorary Consulate in #Vaduz took place why @YPerebyinis traveled to 🇱🇮. With the opening of the HC, the already strong relations between #Ukraine and #Liechtenstein can be further strengthened. Thank you very much for this exchange.
Thank you🇨🇭for hosting the #UAPeaceSummit and providing a platform to discuss critical elements on the way forward for a peace process. 🇱🇮 stressed that a peace solution must be consistent with the UN Charter in its the principle of sovereign equality. #PathToPeace
Move, learn, discover - Olmpic Day. 900 Kinder, 31 Sportarten. Liechtenstein bewegt sich mit Vorfreude auf die Olympischen Spiele in Paris 🇫🇷 zu. Danke @olympic_li
At #URC2024 🇱🇮 reiterated full solidarity with 🇺🇦 & underscored the need for all like-minded states to reinforce their support to Ukraine. Thanks to 🇩🇪 & 🇺🇦 for organising the conference. @AuswaertigesAmt
Start zur 2. Etape der @tds in Vaduz. 🇱🇮 freut sich auf ein Wiedersehen 2026. Gute und sichere Fahrt! #tourdesuisse
In #Zambia a number of bilateral talks were also held - @PrincessKZulu, @mohzambia, MFA and local authorities. The focus was on improving awareness of the projects and promoting cooperation between the government and the project partners. Cooperation = Key
Access to clean drinking water is essential. More than 1/3 of all people living in #Zambia have no safe access to clean water and around half have no access to sanitary facilities. This is why the 🇱🇮 Development Service also supports the #waterforwater project.
The LED and @solidarmed also used the 🇱🇮 development funds to build the Vocational Center of Excellence in Kabwe. There, the practical training of medical staff is being improved and the decentralized dual medical vocational training system is being strengthened. #SDG3 #SDG4
