Replying to @Donnella_P @WestJet
Part 1: @WestJet has the most horrendous customer service I’ve ever experienced. They canceled my flight & I’ve been fighting for my refund for 2 weeks. They’ve resorted to lying eg. Claiming I didn’t cancel, was a no show at airport (after I had canceled over the phone).

Danielle Smith is telling reporters that I’m initiating all the recall campaigns against UCP MLAs. This is an insult to the Albertans who are ACTUALLY organizing these efforts. We’ve actually decided to NOT initiate a single one ourselves because they’re happening organically.

Reminder UCP CHOSE to not keep tracking class sizes and looking into complexities to direct resources where needed Shame on every UCP MLA Kids & educators deserve better. #RecallThemAll
Replying to @NurseMom5AB
Oh they knew. They turned down an NDP bill in 2023 that brought class size reporting back, created a commision to look at complexity and direct resources where needed. They called it a waste of time, money, just more paperwork and "their government was actually fixing it"

So to people saying "buy UCP memberships", i overheard at lunch (ish) the alberta first panel already has. Time to invest in an alternative.

This column is still trending after two days - Lavish private-school funding infuriates teachers, spooks government. Now a parent has clearance for a referendum question on all private funding. calgaryherald.com/opinion/co… #abed #ableg #yyc #yeg #apoli #cdnpoli

My favorite part of this interview was the multiple times where @demetriosnAB admits his government doesn’t provide adequate funding or support for students with severe special needs to be effectively included in public education so they turn to private schools. #abed #abpoli

Every hour the strike continues Calgary’s #UCP MLAs are in jeopardy. If there is one thing conservatives actually know how to do, it’s to force the resignation of leader that’s a liability. #abed #ableg #cdnpoli

AB teachers have been patient for many years. The province has & continues to act in bad faith. Disruptions are small prices to pay for finally forcing the govt to invest in teachers & quality public education, both of which have been short-changed for too long. #abpoli #abed
REMINDER: Strikes are a last resort. But they’re supposed to be disruptive. Without disruption, working people would have no leverage; we would have to swallow whatever the powerful force down our throats. Striking & supporting strikers is how we fight back & balance the scales.

And there were thousands in Calgary and many other centres around Alberta. Not an accurate count but about 300-500 in Grande Prairie.
#ableg #abpoli On Oct 4, 1997, 12,000 Albertans stood shoulder to shoulder for teachers 27 years later, over 20,000 came together and made history again! Sorry Danielle - You can’t silence love, unity, or Alberta’s teachers. StopTheExcuses.ca
