On the night of October 1, 2017, a twenty-nine-year-old former U.S. Marine named Taylor Winston stole a white Ford F-150 pickup truck in Las Vegas. By sunrise, that stolen truck had saved thirty human lives. Winston, an Iraq War veteran, was dancing at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival when automatic rifle fire began raining down from the thirty-second floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel into a crowd of twenty-two thousand people. After throwing his girlfriend over a fence to safety, Winston ran into the gravel parking lot right next to the kill zone. Why did he not simply wait for ambulances to arrive? Because police perimeters and twenty thousand fleeing people had gridlocked the Strip, and victims with arterial gunshot wounds were bleeding to death on the grass with minutes left to live. Winston checked the doors of parked trucks until he found a white four-door Ford F-150 with the keys tucked above the sun visor. He dropped the steel tailgate, ran back into the gunfire, and used Marine combat triage to load the most critically wounded strangers into the truck bed and cab. With bullets still cracking overhead, he floored the gas pedal, wove through the chaos to Desert Springs Hospital, handed the victims to emergency doctors, and immediately drove the blood-stained F-150 straight back into the gunfire for a second load. Across two trips, he delivered roughly thirty critically injured Americans to the hospital in time to survive. The next morning, Winston tracked down the truck's owner and texted him: "Hey man, I took your truck to drive people to the hospital. How can I give you your keys back?" The owner told him to keep the peace of mind, and an Arizona dealership gave the Marine a brand-new Ford F-150 of his own. Uniforms come off when a Marine leaves the Corps. The oath never does.

Coast Guard rescue swimmer rescues 16 people 140 miles off the coast of Baja California in pitch-black darkness while getting tossed by 8-foot waves. 24-year-old Josh Law is credited with the heroic rescue. At 1 a.m., a call came in at the US Coast Guard Air Station in Ventura, California, from a boat sinking in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Ensenada, Mexico. The Coast Guard crew geared up and jumped into the helicopter before making the long trek to the boat. The boat had capsized about 140 miles off the coast and threw more than two dozen people into cold water. When the crew finally located the wreckage, they lowered Law by cable from the helicopter into the water. He was the only rescuer in the cold water for 2 hours. Law was in pitch darkness with no moonlight, in 6- to 8-foot waves, rotor spray and turbulence, and hypothermic water. "I was experiencing exhaustion at that point... what I was experiencing was nothing compared to what they were at that point," Law said. "With one hand, I’m holding the survivor. With the other, I am signaling to the helicopter and working with the device," he said. He did this to rescue 16 survivors, placing them in the basket one by one before hoisting them up to the helicopter. With fuel running low, the crew raced to the Coast Guard station in San Diego, California, which is about 160 miles south of the Ventura station. Law said he treated the survivors during the flight. Some had injuries consistent with shark bites. All 16 were Mexicans, and the ones with injuries were treated when they got to shore. About half have since returned to Mexico. Eleven people on the boat were never found, but thanks to Law and the rest of the crew, 16 lives were saved. Beast.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 7 rounds of golf in Scotland. 7 nights. £2,420 per golfer (excluding flights). Would you take this trip? SAVE THIS POST for your next Scottish golf trip, or tag the mate who’s always talking about organising one but never actually books it. Golf Trips to Scotland — September 2027 September is genuinely one of my favourite months for golf around St Andrews and the East of Scotland. The summer crowds have started to disappear, the town begins to slow down, and the courses feel a little quieter. The mornings are getting cooler, the leaves are beginning to turn, and the colours across the courses are absolutely cracking. And the golden hour lighting? Some of the best you’ll see all year. Here’s how I’d spend a week golfing in my part of Scotland. ACCOMMODATION Forget the expensive hotels in St Andrews. I’d book a cosy Airbnb in one of Fife’s traditional fishing villages. Somewhere with a wee harbour, a couple of good pubs and somewhere to grab a decent meal after 18 holes. 7 nights sharing between 4 golfers: £445pp THE GOLF — SEPTEMBER 2027 Crail Balcomie £180 Panmure £195 Leven Links £125 Ladybank £165 St Andrews Old Course £380 (ballot permitting) Elie £200 Dumbarnie Links £380 Total green fees: £1,625pp Seven fantastic courses. You’ve got traditional Scottish links, heathland golf and modern championship golf, all within a relatively small area. No spending half your holiday driving from one end of Scotland to the other. And if you don’t get lucky in the Old Course ballot? You’ve got plenty of fantastic alternatives nearby. GETTING AROUND I’d recommend hiring a minivan for the week. Four golfers, four sets of clubs and enough room for the luggage. Budget around £350pp for vehicle hire and travel expenses. THE DAMAGE — PER GOLFER Golf: £1,625 Accommodation: £445 Transport: £350 TOTAL: £2,420 per golfer Approximately $3,230 USD. Flights, food, drinks and other personal expenses are extra. + My golf photography 👀😂 £125pp That’s seven rounds of Scottish golf, a week staying in a beautiful fishing village and hopefully a few golden September evenings with your mates. And the best part? You don’t need to spend £5,000–£10,000 to have an incredible golf trip to Scotland. I’ve spent years photographing golfers visiting Scotland, and I’d happily recommend this itinerary to anyone. Interested to hear what the travelling golfers would change. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Ending our stay with the Spanish Inn bagpipe, the setting Pacific sun and the statue called the “Generation Bridge”. I hope you’ve enjoyed my post. I’ve been happy to share them with you. I hope in a way I have been a bridge to you making this trip a reality for yourself. You know…I’m just a boy from the South. I was not born with money. Didn’t grow up around it. I don’t have a lot of money now. When this trip came available I found a way along with my boy to make this happen. Nobody else I had rather do it with than him. He literally cried Sat night when we arrived and had a Birthday setting from Spanish Inn waiting on him addressed directly to him. I’ll never forget that feeling. He got told Happy Bday everywhere he went when they pulled up our name. He heard it at least 15x. Smiled every time. He will never forget this trip. I played golf with a guy today. He was 61. He played Spyglass and Pebble as well. He told me he was coming back when he was 65 with his boys. I said “No. Don’t wait. Do it next year or ASAP”. He ask why. I said “David. We don’t know what tomorrow brings. At 61 I don’t consider you old. But reality is. We fall. We get sick. We get injured. Anything can happen. If coming to Pebble Beach with your sons means more to you than turning 65 you need to do it next year.”He put his hand on my shoulder and said “Thank You, Jim. You are right. I needed that perspective. I’ll plan the trip”. Allow that be my message to you. Do not wait to do this. Quit planning/thinking about it and do it. Do it while you can swing the club. Do it while you can walk. Do it. Do it soon. Thank you all for allowing me to share this with you. I hope you enjoyed. 🙏🏼⛳️🏌️🌊🌅

On a really serious note: 🙏Keep Tulsa OLB Coach-John Beckley(& his family), lifted up in your prayers. He just recently lost his wife(Kayla) & their unborn daughter(Sawyer) after she suddenly suffered a brain aneurysm just a couple weeks ago. I’m thankful he’s not going through this alone as I’m sure his “Golden Hurricane” family is with him during these trying times, but, he could obviously use all the love & support he can get. May The Spirit of God rest upon them & be their ever-present help & comforter

When I was a Delta pilot, I used to layover in Minneapolis a lot. I visited the Mall of America a few years ago. I’d heard about it and had lots of time to kill. The copilot told me not to waste my time but I was super bored. I went for it. I immediately regretted it. I felt like I was back in Mogadishu in 1993. Black Hawk Down vibes. It’s a third world hell hole. Couldn’t wait to leave. It’s not the United States, it’s Somalia. We don’t want it and we don’t want @Ilhan.

Funny Maria, you weren't too upset when Joe Biden and the intelligence services were banning and canceling people on social media who's views they disagreed with ,which is the epitome of violation of free speech rights. Hypocrite.

🚨 THIS JUST HAPPENED AND IT WAS NUCLEAR 🚨 FBI Director Kash Patel had a gut full of Adam Schiff’s games… then he LET LOOSE like never before. 💥 He stared him down and unloaded: “We have countlessly proven you to be a liar in Russiagate and January 6. You are the BIGGEST FRAUD to ever sit in the United States Senate. You are a DISGRACE to this institution.” Then he kept going: “You continue to lie from your perch and put on a show so you can raise money for your charade. You are a political buffoon at BEST.” Kash didn’t hold back. He went for the throat. This is the clip everyone needs to see. 🔥 Must-watch. Drop everything.
