Non-Christians (hindus) in India often accuse Christians in India that they have forsaken the gods of their forefathers and following a foreign God (God of the Western World). To this I reply: Yes, I follow and believe in a foreign God, because the righteousness which God demands from me to have a restored fellowship with Him is nowhere found on planet earth. Therefore, I need a foreigner not from any country of this world, but coming down from the heavenly country who clothes me with a righteousness of His own so whiter than snow, brighter even than the sun and takes me into the heavenly country with Him and presents me before a thrice Holy God who is well pleased to receive me as His child and partake me into His divine life forever.

There are seasons when everything around us seems unstable. Nations rage, evil appears to advance, families break, churches stumble, people we trusted fail, and sometimes our own lives become so disordered that we begin wondering what God is doing. Those are the moments when I need Scripture more than speculation. The Bible does not pretend the world is calm. Psalm 46 speaks of mountains slipping into the sea, waters roaring, and nations in uproar. Yet right in the middle of that picture God says, “Cease striving and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). The chaos is real, but it is never sovereign. Isaiah saw this in a year of national uncertainty. King Uzziah had died, but Isaiah says, “I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted” (Isaiah 6:1). An earthly throne had become empty. The heavenly throne had not moved. That is the kind of perspective Scripture gives us. Psalm 103:19 says, “The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all.” That includes the things we understand and the things that leave us completely confused. God is never reacting in panic. He is never surprised by the next headline, the next loss, the next betrayal, or the next calamity. This is why I return to the Bible when my mind becomes crowded with everything happening around me. I do not go there to escape reality. I go there to remember what reality actually is. Men make plans. Nations rise and fall. Evil has its hour. Suffering can be severe. Yet none of it has pushed God from His throne. The world may look like it is unraveling, but heaven is not in disorder. Our peace does not come from understanding every event. It comes from knowing the One who rules over all of them. When everything around me feels uncertain, Scripture brings me back to the same place again and again: the throne is occupied, the King is reigning, and nothing has slipped beyond His hand.
