This was Minsk six years ago today. Hundreds of thousands of Belarusians took to the streets for freedom on October 25, 2020.
I know how hard these years have been. But we have not given up on our country. I will keep working for the day we can all live there without fear.

Guys, this foie gras ban is so sloppily written that it would ban Jewish delis from selling chopped chicken liver.
Absolutely vote no on this shit.

Every campaign has to deal with the overzealous support who thinks they're helping by stealing the opponents' yard signs. It's, at best, a waste of time. And if public, hurts the campaign the say they want to help.
People, leave the yard signs be!
A self-described communist and Antifa supporter was arrested for allegedly stealing Republican congressional candidate Anthony Constantino's campaign signs while driving his employer's vehicle in New York's 21st Congressional District.
Josef Marris was hit with two counts of criminal possession of stolen property after being captured on video, according to the Essex County Sheriff's Office. He was also fired from East Branch Organics. Constantino's campaign says it has lost more than $100,000 to sign theft and vandalism — and alleges Marris carried out the thefts on behalf of Democratic candidate Blake Gendebien, who leads Constantino 46% to 42% in a recent Siena poll.

Every story about Hemingway is the same - the nicer you were to him, the angrier he lashed out. And by all accounts, Barnaby Conrad was generous and charming, with an amazing life story.
But like Conrad's admission at the end, who would you rather read?
In 1952, Ernest Hemingway read a novel by a 30-year-old Yale graduate and former bullfighter, branded him a fraud, and launched a secret war to defend his turf. newyorker.com/books/page-tur…
