I wholeheartedly believe companies would be so much more successful if Zoom and remote work had never become the norm.
I work from home, and honestly, it was never something I wanted to do. I see the perks, of course. You’re comfortable, you can eat whenever you want, and you have so much more flexibility with your time. But I genuinely believe there’s something about being in the same room with your team that you just can’t replicate through a screen.
Communication would be better, things would get done faster, collaboration would flow more naturally, and creativity would thrive. You’d pick up on social cues, learn how to communicate more effectively, bounce ideas off each other in real time, and solve problems without having to schedule a meeting just to have a conversation.
I think so many of the little things that make a company great happen organically when people are physically together. And while remote work obviously has its benefits, I feel like we’ve sacrificed so much collaboration, connection, and efficiency in exchange for convenience.
Ever since COVID, remote work has become the new normal, and honestly? I hate it. Maybe I’m old-school, but I genuinely think there’s something to be said about showing up, being around people, and building something together in real life.
A New York bodega/deli can produce 10 or more sandwiches in 5 minutes. A Denver deli has a hard time making 1.
Hey @DMacSportsCO you can take the night off. Nothing to talk about after this game. The Avs start in 17 days. That’s all we need.
Beautiful backcountry hut. Perfect way to spend the weekend. Lots of traffic coming home. Colorado Aspen leaves are peaking.
Wow. Looks like my Thanksgiving plans may have just changed.

Dropped my little girl off at the airport this morning for another amazing year at school in New England. Miss her already. I won’t see her until the end of October.
I need mid 70s
Just hit 90° in Denver for the 61st time this year. Moves us into a tie for 5th-most 90°+ days on record.
Likely another 5-10 to go...

4 meetings in the books. 3 more to go. Finally time to eat breakfast. Certainly not a light day of work before the holiday weekend.
