In a portent of the 1985 AFC Championship Game between the two teams ten weeks later, the Patriots devour the Dolphins on the ground in a gritty 17-13 comeback win in rainy Foxboro.
Trailing 13-3 after three quarters, Steve Grogan orchestrates two long ball-control scoring drives.
The first touchdown coming on Grogan's gutsy fourth down flea-flicker to Greg Hawthorne, then calling his own number on a QB keeper for the game-winning score.

Leadership takes many forms, but I believe sports leaders need to show authority not only through their play and work ethic, but with communication, and body language. Both Maye and Tatum have grown in those areas. We're watching both become increasingly comfortable in that role!

Former teammate Blake Griffin commented on the Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown drama:
"I just feel a little bit disappointed, and I think watching that clip and hearing Jayson talk, you can hear the disappointment in his voice... Being their teammate, being inside the locker room, I know JT cares about him."
"Both of them should keep in perspective what they've accomplished and not be short-sighted about what has happened over the offseason. Their relationship is special. It's not often guys have those types of careers and win a championship for a storied franchise like Boston."

Jayson Tatum responded at length to Jaylen Brown's 🧢 comment after last night's win:
"I don't have any animosity, beef, or ill will towards him."
"I got two kids. I reached out to him the day he got traded; I called him and texted him. I understand people process things differently. So for me, at this point in our lives, we're too old to be having our relationship discussed on the internet."
"If there's a conversation to be had, we can definitely have that. I welcome that. I've always wanted the best for him, wished the best for him. I've always publicly said those things."
