Gold Medal IMO LLMs represent 9 hrs work by best pre-uni students. Showing Navier-Stokes from smooth state can blow up, is something mathematical community has been trying to resolve for 90 years (i.e. thousands of hours). A step change in capability. openai.com/index/navier-stok…

Has anyone produced a back of envelope model on discounted present value of liabilities & incomes (over say 10-20years), against various inputs (avg age, size of state/tax, yield curve,...). Where are we now, and what is sustainable in the medium term?

My (free) MAT prep course just started. Please get in touch if you are applying to Oxford or any other world class maths department requiring entrance papers (STEP, TMUA, MAT), or equally a Further Maths Student who just wants to get ahead over the Summer. maths.ox.ac.uk/study-here/un…
With entrance papers, at the start it all looks impossible, but over time with practice, it gets easier & your appreciation of underlying ideas behind questions will become clearly. As a start, have a look at these examples:

Edexcel Maths H3 had no last question shocker (i.e. H1 Qu21), the trapezium trig 3D ok but not like past papers with cuboid. The 9 card probability one used a tree with 3 levels. Oh, Chic wallpaper sounds like a good deal. #edexcelmaths #gcsemaths

Feedback on Edexcel GCSE Higher Paper 2 was everything was fine, with circle theorem qu straight forward, with only quad inequality qu unusual in that had 2 quadratics i.e. find x which satisfy:
x²-49>0 and 5x²-31x-72>0
Expect high grade boundaries.
