If it’s a foul in the box, it’s a foul in the box. You don’t get to change the decision because one team is already winning comfortably. And this is where I’m getting fed up with VAR. They check it, they look at it, they have all the angles, and then they come back with nothing. What exactly are we supposed to see that they’re not seeing? Brighton have absolutely battered Arsenal in this game. They’ve been brilliant. And now you’ve got a situation where they should potentially have another goal from the penalty spot and instead they’re left wondering what they have to do. I’m sorry, but Brighton have been robbed here. They’ve been cheated out of a penalty. And I know people will say, ‘It doesn’t matter, they’re already 3-0 up.’ That’s exactly why it matters. The scoreline shouldn’t decide the rules. If you’re going to give one of these decisions one week, you have to give it the next. Otherwise, just tell us the rules change depending on the score.”
