At PHSC we are proud of our strong partnerships with local healthcare providers, where we strive to meet the workforce demands in nursing & health professions. It was great visiting with our friends today at the new Florida Medical Clinic/Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital.
Happy Birthday, @GovRonDeSantis!
Thank you for your incredible leadership and for your commitment to ensuring Florida remains the #1 state in the nation in higher education.
Best wishes for a blessed and wonderful year ahead!
Congratulations to Dr. O’Farrell and Polk State College! His experience and leadership in workforce development and higher education, from his time at FDOE and as a former Campus Provost here at PHSC, will bring incredible opportunity to the College and the local community.
Join me in welcoming @KevinOFarrell_ to Polk State College as the Executive Vice President of Workforce & Strategic Initiatives! @PolkState will benefit greatly from his more than 20 years of experience in state and higher education leadership.

The opportunity to engage future paramedics directly in clinical sites is central to preparing our students with the skills and readiness to succeed in the workforce.
In these moments, our students prepare to access, evaluate and handle unexpected situations they may encounter.
Today, we welcomed @TGHCares to the West Campus, where our paramedic students observed a helicopter operation and participated in specialized air medical transport training.
#PHSCproud of the opportunities that shape the next generation of emergency medical professionals.
On what would’ve been your birthday, I wish you a happy birthday, Dr. Milton O. Jones. Thank you for paving the way for generations of student success.
Your lasting impact continues to guide PHSC's mission and I am humbled to follow in your footsteps.

It was an incredible honor to join @SenAshleyMoody and several of our State College Presidents at this event. In Florida, we have the nation’s #1 higher education system, with programs that ensure an ecosystem that is prepared for the future growth of aerospace.
Today, I joined fellow presidents @DrEricHall with @PHSCedu, Dr. Thomas LoBasso with @DSC_News and @semstatepres Dr. Georgia Lorenz to support @SenAshleyMoody in bringing the newly established U.S. Space Academy to Florida.
This legislation will allow the U.S. Space Academy to reach great heights thanks to our state’s existing infrastructure, growing aviation industry and highly skilled talent pipeline that will ensure its success.

WATCH: Gov. Ron DeSantis highlighted new statewide education gains ahead of the start of the school year.
@GovRonDeSantis: "For the first time ever, more than 60% of Florida students are performing at or above grade level in both English language arts and mathematics."
I have seen the incredible impact that comes from the support and assistance Hope Navigators provide to so many Floridians. Being able to address barriers to success and opportunity, while also providing help during personal challenges is what Hope Florida is truly about.
Hope Florida links people with any need to the community resources available. It’s the saying, “It takes a village,” fully operationalized. Everyone, at any stage of life, sometimes finds themselves needing help finding help. And that's what @HopeFlorida provides.
