With @nytimes investigation into 'decoy Dan,' it's worth re-visiting @MaryPeltola’s @X account where she promises to

Running a spoiler might not technically be illegal, but any false statements to federal or state investigators about recruiting "Decoy Dan" could mean serious trouble.

The Supreme Court is considering a truly bizarre case where an investigative journalist uncovered an alleged threat to our national security and was then hit with an $800 day fine to force her to reveal her sources. jonathanturley.org/2026/10/2…

In her recent federal filing, Mary Peltola's counsel insisted, "DOJ's complaint is wholly baseless." Now the NY Times is reporting that her campaign was actively involved in seeking to confuse Alaskan voters by running decoy "Dan Sullivans." A staffer now says that Peltola knew about the effort to force voter confusion.

......Since the Justice Department has already filed and has raised concerns over the legality of this effort, campaign officials can be at risk if there were efforts to conceal this conduct in pressuring potential witnesses or destroying possible evidence...

...The NY Times is alleging that even the campaign lawyers were involved in this effort with senior aides. That is a very serious allegation against any lawyers if Peltola was actually fishing for decoy Dan Sullivans.

The NY Times is citing not just this campaign worker but others associated previously with the campaign. This could snowball quickly as staffers seek safe harbor given the federal filing. Mary Peltola's campaign motto could quickly become "fish, family, freedom [and Fraud]."

I was just forcefully removed from a @ThornsFC game for the crime of wearing an @xx_xyathletics t-shirt. I am in shock. We peacefully wore our shirts. We were assaulted by fans. Then WE were forced to leave – with FORCE by stadium security. I am utterly in shock.

The Falcons' new logo seems like an unfortunate throwback to ... well ... a different league. It appears designed to put the Blitz[krieg] back into their "Grits Blitz." Hopefully, when the Falcons-49ers face off on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, it will not be a torch-light night game...

...While Mamdani is offering state-run stores, the "pricing" is completely illusory given the need to subsidize the produce. By promising prices 30 percent lower than the competition (in one of the lowest profit-margin industries), he will be selling the most expensive product in the city. jonathanturley.org/2026/07/2… The difference is that he will be able to simply tap into the city budget to maintain the illusion of a viable market.
