Anatomy teaching series: The conduction system. Loved to combination of histology/anatomy/diagrams. Image of DORV and it’s impact on the conduction system #WCPCCS2023
I did a thing @8thWCPCCS2023 Poster presentation done! Manuscript draft done. Time for some lectures. Momma I hope I’m making you proud. @UWPedsRes @UWGenPeds @seattlechildren
Today, I finish residency! I’m both overjoyed to be closing one chapter and terrified to be starting the next. At a time when the Supreme Court rulings look to set us back as a nation, I reflect on all the systems that looked to keep from the table
but also the people that opened the door to help me get here. I’m truly blessed and will continue to pay it forward #finishedresidency #blessed #uwpeds #SupremeCourtDecision #seattlechildrens #Pediatric #pediatrician #AAP

Every year, 40 to 50 children are admitted to Harborview Medical Center (@harborviewmc) after falling from an open window, says Dr. Brian Johnston, Chief of Pediatrics. Preventing this is as easy as installing a stick-on device that can fit in the palm of your hand! #SafetyTip – at Seattle, WA

A pediatrician I talked to told me insurance companies will pay her *three times as much* to remove a wart as to counsel the parents of a suicidal kid for an hour. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

In an op-ed in Health Affairs, two physicians are pushing for the end of ranking U.S. hospitals by calling on hospitals to pull out. @Health_Affairs @maddywoz @DrMpamaugo #healthcare #hospitals #rankings @usnews ow.ly/gwkr50NmxWw
I’m excited that @maddywoz and I were able to shed light on how we are evaluating our healthcare systems. It’s time to start having these honest conversations! Thank you @Health_Affairs
In their new Forefront article, @maddywoz + @DrMpamaugo discuss how it’s time for US hospitals to follow the example of medical and law schools by withdrawing from the US News & World Report rankings. bit.ly/3YXEkpW
Thanks @ShaqBell for capturing this moment. I hope to continue to this very important work and to encourage others to fight for change.

So please tell me more about how medicine has changed when a president of a whole surgical society chose this as his hill to die on… let me go find some bootstraps to pick up
Now is the time for our newly elected officials to make a difference. Children over profits!! nytimes.com/2023/01/04/opini…
