I first heard about "hedonic adaptation" when we were walking around Times Square with @DrSamChan filming this. As Sam makes clear, our culture pursues happiness as if it's a right, but it always wears off.

Just starting to read The Missing Peace by @DrSamChan from Australia, published by @thegoodbookuk
2 thoughts from reading the first page:
1) Exciting, pacy opening
2) Glad Sam contextualised for his audience and used the term 'flip-flop' rather than the Australian equivalent

What is cultural apologetics? I enjoyed trying to answer that question with my friends @TrevinWax, @RebeccMcLaugh, and @AJWTheology.

Loving Jesus means loving our neighbors as well. But our culture is increasingly post-Christian, post-church, and post-reached. Our neighbors feel further away than they’ve ever been. So what shifts are needed to speak Jesus in this culture? How might the gospel better stick with our friends? How can we channel our loving gospel grit to sticking gospel grip? Join Sam Chan (@DrSamChan), head trainer and mentor of the EvQ School of Evangelism, as he shares how the gospel can gain traction today. Feb 28 is the last day to save: tgc.org/tgc25
