My dream as a kid was to have season tickets for an NBA team.
When we moved to Orlando, it was one of the first things I purchased. It was amazing to think that a childhood dream could come true.
This past summer, I was offered the opportunity to attend media day and spend a day with the team, up close and in person. My first question was, “Could my daughter come with me?” Understandably, they said it was for adults only. So I declined.
What I didn’t realize was that my reality was better than my dream.
So when I was specifically invited, with my daughter, to be the fans of the game recently, and start off the introductions, I jumped at the chance.
If you notice, my daughter is looking at everyone, and I am looking at her. Seeing the world through her eyes makes my world better every day.
When you pursue dreams, sometimes your reality becomes better than anything you could have imagined.
