The difference today isn’t in how good the superstars are but how much better men 4-15 are then ever in history

I did not want to admit to my addiction this soon lol but 16-2 in week 1 of Fantasy Basketball will do đŸ”„unfortunately I think JDub was my most drafted player besides Caleb, Kyshawn, and Yaxel. Felt like he was going to have a strong all star comeback season. Get well soon JDub!

Kelvin Sampson finally went out and got some offensive talent that he can teach to how to play defense. I had Dedan Thomas as my #1 “most impactful” transfer but moved him to #10 for my final rankings as I tried to consider the players strict individual talent as well.
The box score from Houston's 83-66 exhibition win over Michigan. Dedan Thomas Jr. led the way with 25 points and seven assists. đŸ”„ Thoughts?

I will say though for Michigan to be without Brandon McCoy this early, a double digit loss isn’t terrible. Kelvin Sampson has his teams playing sound ball earlier in the season than any recent coach I can remember.

Timberwolves are playing motivated this season. Anthony Edwards seems to be making good progress in terms of becoming a real leader, not just the best player. Chris Finch coming for that Coach of the Year award. >60% win percentage L3 seasons and 27 playoff Ws. Elite head coach.

Freshman PG Miles Sadler has had an impressive first two exhibition games for West Virginia. Through his first two games Sadler is averaging 17/3/5, along with 1.5 steals a game while shooting 38% from three in only 24 MPG. Sadler is one of the best PG’s in this year’s Draft class and he showcased why with a strong showcase of his shooting, speed, playmaking, change of direction, free throw drawing, and rim pressure.

Trevon Brazile finishing with the Nuggets starters in only his 2nd career game. 17 & 9 with 3 stocks. 3-7 from 3. Gave that pick an A+ for a reason (along with like 30 other picks) didn’t take long to find that Peyton Watson replacement
Sergio De Larrea with 21-5-4 on 9/15 shooting (3/4 from 3) in his 3rd game Feel like I’ll be able to make a post every night of the season about how insanely good this rookie class is going to be lol

Love this for Brazile. Along with Zuby he was probably my highest riser after the college season ended (#31). Not sure I’d say he will be the eventual Aaron Gordon replacement yet but he’s going to look great next to Jokic, and I wouldn’t be surprised.

Actually yea looking into the numbers more and Kyshawn has routinely finished with more assists than made 3s every season. Last year 99 made 3s compared to 214 assists. He’s always been a connective wing. Now that doesn’t mean he should be getting as many reps as he is at PG, but

Even in his lone college season he had more total assists than made 3s as a true wing. Don’t get me wrong he shot 40% so it’s not a knock but he had 4+ assists in 6 of 16 starts as a freshmen. Only made 4+ 3s in 5 games. He’s never been just a shooter.

Trying to minimize Kyshawn’s game down to strictly catch and shooting would be wasting a lot of talent. At the same time I would’ve waited until next season to move Kyshawn into this role. Also don’t want him shooting OTD 3s. When he’s shooting 3s, they should be C&S.

They’re rushing it. I’ve been one of the biggest supporters of him becoming a more prominent ball handler in his prime but trying to make him the true backup PG this season was too early.

Been very impressed with Bub playing a lesser reserve role. I think he can see alot of success and make some good money in this role. 3 point shot looks like it’s going to be a real weapon and his size allows the C&S to be prominent. Just turned 21 in late July. Game slowing down
Crazy things were said about Bub Carrington. He has been one of Washington’s best players so far this season. Defense has improved, he’s generating paint touches, the passing looks refined, he’s a legit rotation piece right now.

It’s kind of wild how bad of a rep Bub got last season. For his career he had made 300+ 3s at 37% with a solid ratio of 4.5 assists to 2.0 turnovers. Considering his age, experience, situation, coaching, etc. that’s enough to believe in a solid role player emerging one day.

Yea Song is 3-2 in his last 5 fights with both losses coming to O’Malley and Yan. I think you have to give it to O’Malley and honestly Merab vs Song feels like the right fight for both guys at this point.
âšĄïžTim Welch goes off on Daniel Cormier for suggesting Song Yadong fight Petr Yan instead of Sean O’Malley: “I don’t know why DC went in there and said, ‘Hey, Song Yadong, you’re next,’ even though Sean beat him about six months ago. I don’t know if he’s always had it out for Sean, but there’s always been a little something. He makes these little comments. Maybe he doesn’t like the tattoos, or he doesn’t like that Sean didn’t wrestle in the past.” (via @TimwelchMT)

What are the Jazz’s plans for Isaiah Collier? Only 2 games into the season but it appears likely that he’ll play a career low in minutes per game.

Definitely going to be interesting to see if the team moves off Riley or Bilal possibly for a backup PG. Especially if we aren’t going to give Riley a consistent role. Could be some teams who have a similar situation but need to offload a guard for a wing. Also could be a younger

player who’s on a similar timeline. I wouldn’t be a fan of moving either for just a veteran one year depth piece since. Ryan Rollins would be the top guy for me but it’s probably unrealistic. He’s likely headed for FA but is still young. Other names off the top of my head who

Keefe really pushes it with these late game lineups. IMO you get the finishing 5 out there around 6-7 minutes left. We just took Kyshawn out with 4 minutes left? I get that Champagnie might not be the on paper guy but clearly he should be left in this game. Hopefully won’t matter
