Philippine Drag Updates 🚨

Bianca Del Rio Joins the Treacherous Castle in The Traitors US Season 6 Bianca Del Rio is officially entering the castle. The RuPaul’s Drag Race winner is joining the upcoming sixth season of Peacock’s hit reality competition series The Traitors US, adding her signature sharp wit and no-nonsense humor to an already star-studded cast. Bianca confirmed her casting on social media with the message, “THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG. HERE WE GO!!”, alongside the official announcement that a new group of Traitors and Faithfuls will be entering the castle. She will compete alongside 22 other celebrities, including Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, actor Dominic Monaghan, Big Brother winner Taylor Hale, Real Housewives stars Cynthia Bailey and Gizelle Bryant, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, and The Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei. Alan Cumming will return as host. The upcoming season follows a major run for the franchise, which recently secured additional seasons from Peacock after The Traitors dominated the 2026 Emmy Awards, taking home seven awards, including Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Host for Cumming. For Bianca, the castle marks another reality-television chapter following her historic Drag Race run. Now, instead of reading queens on the main stage, she’ll have to navigate alliances, deception, murders, and roundtable banishments—all while trying to determine who among the cast can be trusted. And if Bianca’s reputation is anything to go by, the castle may have just gotten a whole lot more entertaining. The game is changing. The cat is out of the bag. And Bianca Del Rio is ready to play.

Among the season’s most recognizable names is Taylor Sheesh, who gained widespread attention for her performances as a Taylor Swift impersonator. Her inclusion has generated additional interest in the upcoming season. The season’s aquatic visual direction also carries a distinctly Filipino identity, with promotional materials drawing on the country’s association with the “Pearl of the Orient Seas.” A season marked by both anticipation and loss Season 4 carries a particularly emotional context following the death of contestant Misua, whose real name was Jason Elvie Ty, at age 27 in April 2026. Misua had already been cast for the fourth season when her death was announced. Despite her passing, she remains part of the season’s cast and promotional material. The newly released trailer reportedly closes with the queens paying tribute to their late sister. Her presence has consequently given the upcoming season an added emotional dimension, with the cast and the franchise continuing to honor her participation and legacy. Filipino queen Brigiding won the competition, further putting the Philippine drag scene on the international franchise’s radar. The regular Philippine edition has previously crowned Precious Paula Nicole, Captivating Katkat, and Maxie Andreison as its first three winners. Season 4 was officially renewed in October 2025 following the continuing success of the Philippine franchise. Six of the season’s queens—Manza, Valeria, Maureen Biology, Merckz, Katana, and Taylor Sheesh—recently appeared at Versusan Live in Quezon City, where they performed individually and participated in lip-sync battles with other local drag artists. The event further fueled anticipation for the upcoming season. Season 4 of Drag Race Philippines premieres September 25 on WOW Presents Plus.
