This is where you double down. This is when you publish POC, LGBTQ, trans, and disabled authors more than ever.
Donβt be complicit.
The fact People Finder had the gaul to have a woman in their ad being excited that anyone could find out where she lives and every other bit of info on her was...a choice. I thought it was a horror ad for one of those services to help get you off those evil sites. But no.
Fun fact, all the sites like it are ALL OWNED by the same parent company and ALL have different unpleasant ways to opt out from their "services," including sending them actual copies of your ID (which obviously no one would do).
Two people in my family have had stalkers.
The fact we can't stop sites like People Finder from blasting our personal info without permission makes the world that much scarier. Can we get @linakhanFTC on this? π
