Spent the week programming the gimmick for the next level I'm starting on: these film reels that you can ride! Like many other mechanics, I've had the idea for this one for years, so I'm happy to have finally gotten to making it. #screenshotsaturday
Alright, level fully decorated and done! Time to move onto the next one. #screenshotsaturday
Got all the collectibles in this week, as well as a start on decoration. Should be finished with the level next week. #screenshotsaturday
Alright, got that final level segment done and am now finished with the general layout of the level. Even got started on polish/adding collectibles (although not shown here) #screenshotsaturday
ALMOST done with the general layout of the level. Just gotta get one last segment done, one focusing on this moving twist to the static mechanic that I got programmed in. Should be tricky and fun. #screenshotsaturday
Working up a bit more momentum on level design. Trying to get tricky without getting too crazy. #screenshotsaturday
Okay, FINALLY back to making progress on Dribble Bounces Back, albeit slowly. Need to build that momentum back up. Regardless, here's a variation on the static mechanic that I added as I'm designing the level. #screenshotsaturday
Exciting times! Looking forward to people enjoying the game!
Showcasing @DribbleGame with my brother at the Chicago Indie Game Showcase today! Got a cool new sign and a tablecloth from a friend this year; they came out great! Looking forward to people playing some of the newer levels!
Busy with CIGS and other stuff this weekend, so none of the regular updates still. But I'll send pictures from the event tomorrow!
So I'm going on an out-of-country trip soon, which means that I will not be able to do my regular updates on Dribble Bounces Back for a few weeks. Just thought it was important to let people know.
Worked further on level design this week. This level is late in the game, so I'm free to get pretty tricky with it. #screenshotsaturday.
Got a start on designing this level this week. Also got some music from @pauseeffectyt in; fits the mood really well I think. #screenshotsaturday
Not much progress to show this week as I've been busy prepping for various things, including the Chicago Indie Game Showcase. I will be showcasing a new Dribble Bounces Back demo there, so if you're in the area, you might want to check that out. tickettailor.com/events/indi…
Alrighty, I think I'm just about done with the environment art for Glitch Ditch. Gonna add a few more things this weekend, but otherwise I think I'm ready to start actual level design this coming week. #screenshotsaturday
Spent this week working further on establishing the look of the environment for this next world, the Glitch Ditch. I think I've figured out a more solid direction I wanna take, so I've gained momentum that I hope to build on this next week. #screenshotsaturday.
Been struggling to figure out the aesthetic for this world, a glitchy underground cavern/mine, so just been experimenting. Stuff like changing the palette, messing around with glitch shaders found online, and binary in the background. Will keep experimenting. #screenshotsaturday
Unfortunately, I have no update to Dribble this week. Been a bit caught up with a hectic schedule. Although that hectic schedule this week might have cleared up extra time later in the month, so maybe I'll be able to get extra done at that point. We'll see.
This week I got some new audio stuff! A new song for the Crayon Canyon from our composer Jon, and also some miscellaneous sounds from @Case_Portman (like the sound of the crayon drawing in this clip). Both came out excellent!
Moving onto a new level, so been working on a new mechanic this week. Here we have these staticky zones that you can zip through. #screenshotsaturday
