$TAO subnet burns are now easy to find on taoflows.app/metrics Click a bar to see which subnets contributed to a period's burned value. Today subnets burned more $TAO value than the network emissions

AI's (Trump's Super Intelligence) limits are still kind of obvious to me: - it still cannot retain long context like a human brain does and gets lost over iterations, it looses the global perspective quite often - it does not know what "good" means when it comes to art, human enjoyment like a game - it's almost always agrees with the prompter so if you're mistaken it would rather obey you than step back and tell you wtf youre doing wrong instead - it does not always behave consistently. different version, harnesses, context, etc. Some days it gets really frustrating and things would sometimes be faster done by hand still. Of course SI is smarter than us already and in almost all subjects that exist but it still lacks the unique traits that make a human what it is. It does not feel, it does not want, it does not care personally, it does not fear, it does not seem to like to get outside of its learned training data territory, it is like a mirror of human collective data so creativity is still kind of "yeah ive been there bruh, nothing new" the most impressive things about SI is no fatigue, reading a millions lines in seconds, fixing bugs you would never know how to fix, testing a millions things with simulations, creating POCs, cleaning up mess when you ask it, do stuff on your behalf on a schedule... its pretty amazing but it's still not as impressive as a human brain... but it will get there im pretty sure. i think SI models are in the phase where experimented devs and specialists are teaching it exactly ehast it lacks: "whats good", "whats logical", "what do humans want", "how to think with a distant perspective about the whole thing", etc.

im very protective of Bitcoin. We're doing very very cool world shattering stuff, but Bitcoin? is just ... it's just so fucking beautiful of a technology ... it's era forming, almost as religiously important to the future of humanity as Christianity: it birthed an era like Christ did.

We've expanded the Chutes catalog. As demand for inference has grown, we've added capacity so our users around the world can get the models they need every day, paid for in crypto or fiat. Starting today, alongside our confidential TEE models, Chutes now offers a set of non-TEE models. First up are the following models, live now on chutes.ai with the same API key and billing you already use. DeepSeek V4 Pro: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-d… Qwen3.8 Max: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-q… GLM-5.2-Fast: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-z… Qwen3.8-2.4T-A95B: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-q… GLM-5.3: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-z… DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-d… Kimi-K2.7-Code: chutes.ai/app/chute/chutes-m… More models are coming.

> "What is the exact emission schedule for TAO?" The total supply is capped at 21 million TAO. Currently, 1 TAO is emitted per block, with a new block every 12 seconds. Instead of using a block-based halving schedule like Bitcoin, TAO's issuance schedule follows a supply-based model. > "What is the leader election mechanism (or equivalent) based on? How does the network determine who can write the next block?" The chain operates on a Proof of Authority (PoA) mechanism, with plans to transition to Proof of Stake (PoS) by the end of next year. A few institutions run the main nodes, with OTF operating the majority. Bittensor's core innovation is not at the chain level—Substrate is used for the blockchain, and there is built-in governance, allowing for changes in the code. However, physical decentralization is not the primary focus at this stage, but it may be later on, our main goal is economic decentralization. > "Who receives the mining reward for each block?" The chain nodes themselves do not directly receive the emission. Instead, a contract on the chain divides Bittensor into 47 "subnets." Each subnet has 64 validators who submit performance reports of the miners (192 nodes per subnet) to the chain. The network then uses a consensus mechanism called Yuma Consensus to reach agreement on the miners' performance and quality. The consensus doesn't analyze what miners are producing—the validators use custom Python code to evaluate the miners and submit weight updates. > "What are the exact requirements for establishing a new subnet?" To establish a new subnet, a lock of TAO is required. The amount of TAO needed is demand-based, and the price fluctuates minute to minute. There are no additional requirements. However, subnets can be pruned by "root validators"—large nodes with the most delegated TAO—who control how much TAO each subnet is allowed to distribute per block. > "Who sets the initial hyperparameters of a subnet, and how can they be changed?" Each subnet has an "owner key" that allows the owner to modify certain hyperparameters, such as "rho" or "kappa" in the Yuma consensus. Is it true that 41% of staking rewards go to miners, 41% to validators, and 18% to the subnet owner/administrator? Yes, that’s correct.

That’s the trick. Decentralization requires a protocol which creates consensus. In Europe it used to be the Church. In Greece it was Delphi. In Bitcoin it is the game theoretic incentives. In Bittensor it’s calls Yuma. Etc. With consensus the system isn’t divided.

Id love to be more decentralized than Bitcoin but it simply isn't the case. Indeed, there is simply non-comparison. Bitcoin is the decentralized shield that protects the whole crypto space. We are like its little brother making sand castles behind the wall.

Jason just told 1.8m followers to dump their Bitcoin now, and that he is long on $TAO @opentensor Please think for yourself guys. Being long on Bittensor does not require being bearish on the grandfather that started it all with pure proof of work
A brutal year for Bitcoin is just getting started. Give me three minutes to explain why you should dump it now. Outflows from ETFs are signal and will continue. We will test the 57k low again in the next 12 months. Why? Because there are far too many dynamic places to put your money that are creating MUCH more value. Why put your resources into a dead network that offers nothing beyond a store of value? What's the point of place the BTC be if Bitcoin's Ponzi-scheme nature has gone away!?! The viral nature of bitcoin was it's power... if you didn't own you were MOCKED! Now? Completely reasonable, heck, SMARTER, to ignore bitcoin and place other bets! No one is trying to convince people to buy Bitcoin anymore... the memes and NFTs are gone. No one is saying $ BTC can change the world, because it won't — and BECAUSE AI HAS! Just sell and shift from Bitcoin to Super Intelligence because one provides little to no value, and the other provides unlimited upside for humanity. This should be obvious to everyone right now. Bitcoin will never break its all-time high again.

🚨BREAKING: Microsoft is offering buyouts to 60,000 employees as AI reshapes its workforce. The voluntary exit program covers roughly 27% of Microsoft’s 223,000 employees across the U.S., Canada, India and the U.K., extending to workers at the vice president level and below. The move comes as Microsoft pours billions into AI infrastructure while pushing AI tools across engineering, sales and other teams to improve efficiency.

$BTC rejected the 83.7K region. Now we’re sweeping the previous wick lows, liquidating billions, with FOMC, a new monthly open, midterms and Anthropic all ahead. They’re quite literally pricing in the worst before continuation. This is not the time to turn bearish, especially with BTC sweeping the lows.
“That means there’s a good chance we start taking the other side next week.” Indeed, we’re taking out $BTC shorts now. Our first significant barrier is around 83.7-84.2K. If we fail to flip this area, expect more range bound price action. Reclaim it, and the chances of revisiting the highs increase.

Here's a very crude simplified chutes roadmap/plan, for near term: - move the most unprofitable things off of the subnet, including today's announcement of some (not all) additional inference options (not paid via emissions) - this allows us to scale the things we want and need to avoid capacity issues/better direct incentive - this includes models we use to build data pipelines and relationships to other teams/networks/etc - add options that are completely revenue positive (hourly pricing/rentals/simple docker based jobs/etc), TEE, private, secure, priced above cost, more extensive version of private chutes we have today basically - expand the hourly compute offerings to also include CPU only (e.g. to run agents, web browsers, sandboxes, non-GPU work of any kind) - use some of the incentive for ideally non-datacenter based model training and serving - build a non-extractable product on chutes from the models we build, via dynamic edge nodes, possibly from the epigenesis work (smaller faster cheaper faster than lora customizations from the sparse sections of pretrained model, participant supplied) - models and pipeline etc. will be open source, the customization and ensemble thereof will live only in chutes, inc. the continuously evolving set of served variations/RL/etc. We'd like, to the extent we can, attract participants who want to build and have no obligation to pay datacenters or any particular hardware vendor, to keep the value inside the subnet at all times by attacking sell pressure at the source (DC commitments, chip purchases, etc). We will continue to have secure TEE inference and GPUs; not elimating anything wholesale, just focusing more on a commodity that doesn't have to flow out to DCs and single hardware vendors. NVIDIA reportedly has 75% profit margins, revenue for the sake of revenue fueling GPU reselling goes straight to one place, basically. Fine, I guess, but I'd rather work together as individuals with whatever hardware we can bring, to a reasonable degree.

True? No clue. The point of parallax is to put the network into as many hands as possible in a verifiable trustless way, and for the output (the models) to not require yet another source for the wealthiest companies on earth to monopolize (that is, a model that can run even on a phone and not require "now's" completely unaffordable mega GPU). The current AI marketplace is fueled by a massive debt market with very few beneficiaries at the world's expense. If you like K shaped economies here it is in plain sight; trickle up resources, consolidating into a few, spreading the gap at ever-increasing speed. Whether this is self serving for Mr. Musk to gather up more resources for pennies on the dollar or a true statement is irrelevant, the outcome is the same. Will it crash tomorrow, next week, never? No clue, but I would rather not build the foundation on this gamble. I'm possibly (probably?) doing it wrong, but the goal is and has always been, people first, which means accessibility first. Let's make "good enough" models with no kill switch and no hardware moat. Please and thank you. If we get superintelligence out into the universe without/at the cost of consciousness to witness it, we have accomplished nothing, and have in fact forgotten the whole point.
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
