We’ve been integrating Firefighting Robots today & found the robot / drone combination really useful. Big thanks to @Angloco and @SharkRobotics for use of their Rhyno at a Major Incident in Lancaster. Great effort by @LancashireFRS Crews & USAR . @Lancs_FireCFO @NFCC_FireChiefs

Drone team currently assisting at a 10 pump fire in a derelict mill in Lancaster. Incident causing a large smoke plume in the area. #DronesForGood
Why we deploy drones - @LfrsDrone providing 'close air support' for @LancashireFRS crews entering a building. #Dronesforgood
Why we deploy drones - @LfrsDrone providing footage to the @LancashireFRS Stinger crew so they can suppress a fire by piercing a building from outside. #Dronesforgood
Really useful training day using @DiveCapernwray today for @LfrsDrone team training. We've been getting to grips with our brand new @deeptrekker underwater rescue capable ROV. SONAR is a different level compared to normal drone ops but we'll get there @stevejhealey @LancashireFRS

More images from our drone at last nights nursery school fire in Preston. Not only can we see any fire spread or hidden danger, we can also monitor the safety of our crews working on the ground. #SafetyFirst #Lancashire @LancashireFRS
Accepting change can be difficult for us all! Thankyou to @CreatecCumbria for bringing their dogs along to play with ours. @BostonDynamics @firesearchdogs @LancashireFRS #robots
If your #robot cannot open doors it’s future in the Fire Service is limited! @CreatecCumbria have been showing us how good Spot is at these simple but vital tasks today. @LancashireFRS @BostonDynamics @stevejhealey @Lancs_FireDCFO
We’ve been working with @CreatecCumbria putting several of their @BostonDynamics dogs through Fire & Rescue scenarios at Training Centre. Shame the Delsar sensors are not sticky! @stevejhealey @Lancs_FireDCFO @LancashireFRS @NFCC_FireChiefs

Call to assist a crew at Rawtenstall in the early hours of Sunday. Reports of someone in a river, a thermal search of the area was carried out, as well as personnel on the ground. After a thorough search no persons were located. #DroneSAR

Tonight we have been assisting crews at a large fire involving a derelict building in Accrington. We were able to identify how effective the water jets were applying water onto the fire. We also identified a burning gas pipe within the building, can you spot it? @LancashireFRS

There needs to be a total ban on open fires, including barbecues of all kinds - at least in the red areas. We have the exceptional fire weather forecast and tinder dry fuels, *risk of ignition is now key*. #WildfireAware #firewiseUK

Great to catch up with @JaneScatt today to discuss collaboration and the future transformation of health at a place base. So many opportunities to deliver improved outcomes if we work smarter, together. Thanks Jane and catch up again soon 👍

Today we took delivery for a trial period the @deeptrekker underwater ROV. We will be putting it through its paces over the coming weeks. The ROV is fitted with sonar and a claw, enabling it to locate and retrieve heavy objects submerged in water. @LancashireFRS @stevejhealey

Perfect footage to support the need for a more diverse fleet across UK fire and rescue services. Risk has changed and we need to change with it. Appreciate many services already have invested but collectively we all have more to do #climatechange
