To give an idea of what culture is like in Adelaide, there’s only one rep cinema, they’re showing the TV versions of Fanny and Alexander and Scenes from a Marriage, but literally halving them straight in the middle and showing Half 1 on a Wednesday and Half 2 on the next Monday.

Jazzmaster keeps fucking itself with the saddle and string action. Either the high E string sounds all pinched like a sitar or the low E buzzes on every fret whether the saddle is high or low. Taken it in three times this year to be fixed and they say nothings wrong.

Deciding it’s time to get a new guitar. Any recommendations from mutuals? I enjoy the Jazzmaster a lot but this particular one was cheapish Squier (I was broke at the time) and the saddle is a nightmare. For context, it’ll have to sound okay in a Silver Jews cover band.

Listened to Getting Killed yesterday. As soon as it ended, I listened to it again. It feels nice to be really into a modern band and to get the hype. Bad to miss out on their concerts. Now I really want to catch up on all the 2010-present music I’m behind on.

They’re getting rid of the only 35mm projector used in Adelaide so they knock down most of the cinema (the parts that aren’t heritage listed) and build a 16-story apartment tower. I fucking hate this city and its philistine government who don’t give a fuck about art at all.
