We are delighted to announce that an enhanced version of DualSPHysics @DualSPHysics for simulation of incompressible free-surface fluid flows has been released with respect to enhanced stability, accuracy, energy/volume conservation and the numerical resolution of the continuity equation. The enhanced DualSPHysics, referred to as DualSPHysics+, incorporates several schemes for effective and conservative pressure stabilisation, rank deficiency mitigation, particle shifting and continuity equation resolution.
Similar to the original DualSPHysics, DualSPHysics+ is open-source and includes both CPU and GPU-based versions.
The paper below, which has just been published by Computer Physics Communications, presents detailed information and in-depth validation of DualSPHysics+ along with details on the compilation, execution and computational performance. DualSPHyiscs+ has also been extended for enhanced modelling of elastic structures, fluid-structure interactions, etc. and is now in the final phases of its systematic validations.
