It’s my birthday today, so if you read this you are compelled to do one of these things :
wishlist Enoch (link in comment)
Or if you already did it (and only if) share this post with a screenshot of your favorite game of all time.
I don’t make the rules. 😁

Even witches love tabletop games, but with their ilk, naught is ever as it seems... But then again, fallen gods have tricks of their own!

The Monkey's Paw demo is now playable during Steam Next Fest! A horror visual novel where choices matter... Painfully.
Proudly made entirely by hand with no AI

I do gamedev for fun.
I like figuring out how to code and drawing the silly art by hand.
I like how I can dive into my thought process and understand the changes I make.
I hope some of you still will still be into this stuff when I finally release it🩵

Every run becomes a new saga of the fallen god, but you're not the only character in the story: your followers have their own reasons for joining and many have unique effects depending on their background.

We got another one of these! Today is actually the due date, but she got a one month head start.
The development of Dunwich Horror continues as before, there's just no more free time 🙂

I'm sure there are still a lot of people out there that don't know we're working on a weird point and click adventure with deduction mechanics that owes as much to What Remains of Edith Finch as to Return of he Obra Dinn (but probably easier 😅)
So, wishlist and make some noise!

Inktober continues! Yes, I'm throwing art here too.
(Rather, I have sketches in Inktober these days.😅)

The mental issue is believing people will buy 2k$ AI PS6 with a rental store.
"Father of PlayStation" Ken Kutaragi thinks making physical discs is not 'economically reasonable' for Sony anymore, but understands fan backlash:
"I understand that physical discs have become a metaphor for ‘owning’ games. I really understand that mentality… But nobody thinks [physical media] is necessary for a networked device like a smartphone, for example, because people feel that they will keep their content. So it’s a mentality."
"I really understand [why some people are upset], but I don’t think it’s economically reasonable. Maybe it’s a mentality issue."

Attention Scottish voice actors! 🏴🎤
We’re gearing up to cast an upcoming project, which will require an (almost) all Scottish cast! So watch this space, if it’s nae bother.
The same people who convince u AI is the way, are the same people who convince u to drop ur job to make games. They are both selling you things. They are selling you degrees, tools, licenses, all ultimately useless, if u knew what u were doing, but you don't, so they exploit you.

Making a game entails a thousand little bits and bobs that hold it all together: loading screens, settings and credits menus, a tutorial, pop-up gameplay tips, a quest log, dice systems, achievements and scoreboards, difficulty levels... it never ends!

Strangeland hits 850 reviews, which is a nice tailwind heading into Halloween. Here are five highlights out of the last 50 reviews, from players around the world!
Grateful to all our players, especially for the Steam reviews, which make a huge difference to us indie devs.
Reminder we've been patching Primordia for 14 years with no AI. Just out of respect for the people who keep supporting it and have supported it. Same for Strangeland. Same for every game I maintain for Wadjet Eye Games.

At the moment I am having such a good time making Gilt that it feels like a kind of magic. I hope this game turns out to be as good as the vision that exists for it in my mind. store.steampowered.com/app/3…

Woodsmen can lead a fallen god through the trees, help with his hunts, and make quick work of wolves. What's more, some among them keep to the old ways of the wilds, and these woodwoses have further powers still...
