An important update from DUKZ. 🦆 We’ve decided to end the DUKZ mint. We started this launch with a lot of excitement and genuinely hoped it would go differently. But sometimes, no matter how much work you put into something, the timing simply isn’t right. And a lot of work went into DUKZ. From creating the art and thousands of trait combinations, to building the website, holder reward system, contracts, allowlist, collaborations and the community around it we put a huge amount of time, energy and care into building this collection from the ground up. That’s exactly why we don’t want to force the mint just for the sake of completing it. 51 people chose to mint and believe in DUKZ. To every one of you: thank you. ❤️ Those NFTs aren’t going anywhere. They will remain as the *DUKZ Genesis Collection*, representing the very first people who supported us and became part of this story. Everyone who paid for their mint will receive a full refund of their mint payment. We expect refunds to begin within the next 1–2 hours. Genesis holders should also check the Rewards section of our website. If you have rewards available from the Holder Reward Pool, you can claim them there. For now, we believe the right decision is to focus on strengthening the community and continuing to improve what we’ve built rather than forcing a launch in the current environment. As for the future of DUKZ we’re keeping our options open. We originally believed strongly in the direction Zcash was heading. If that ecosystem develops into what we originally envisioned, DUKZ may eventually find its home there. Maybe it will be somewhere else. We’ll make that decision when the time is right. If DUKZ returns with a new launch one day, our Genesis holders will always be the people who were here before everyone else. We built a lot. We learned a lot. A few words from the DUKZ team.🦆 The #NFT space still has a long way to go. We’ve seen people say DUKZ was supposed to be a free mint and suddenly became paid. We never announced a free mint. Not once. If anyone can find a post from us saying DUKZ would be free to mint, please send it to us. We’ll gladly address it. We’ve also seen people saying they weren’t eligible despite registering. Every submitted wallet that qualified was added. We’ve personally checked multiple complaints, only to find that the wallet was already on the eligibility list. In many cases, people simply needed to reconnect the correct wallet or refresh the mint page. Yet before checking, some immediately started calling the project a scam. That creates unnecessary fear around something we’ve worked extremely hard to keep transparent from day one. The mint is 0.001 ETH. 40% of mint revenue goes directly into the Holder Reward Pool. That portion is not team revenue and is designed to be distributed to holders through the reward system. We built the art. We built the website. We built the reward system. We made the contracts and mechanics visible. We don’t have a massive influencer or a major account standing behind us. We’re simply a small team trying to build something and prove ourselves through the work. Sometimes it feels like projects with enormous hype can ask for almost anything and people rush in, while smaller independent teams are treated with suspicion before anyone even checks what they built. That’s part of this space. We accept it. DUKZ mint will remain open for the next 7 days. If mint conditions remain where they are at the end of that period, we’ll reassess the launch and communicate the next steps clearly, including any refund process before taking action. Whatever happens, we appreciate every single person who supported us, minted, shared the project, or simply gave us a chance. We’re not here for a quick exit.
