As a former New York sex crimes prosecutor, I would like everyone to know that if someone is “too intoxicated to consent,” it is ALREADY illegal under NY law for someone to engage in sexual activity with them, regardless of whether the victim was voluntarily or involuntarily intoxicated. It is dangerous to tell people otherwise.
