Need a way to get home in the dark? Our Nightbus is running throughout Freshers' Week, every day but Tuesday. Like a taxi service, if you ring the number on the back of your campus card, the bus will pick you up and take you where you need to go within Durham. It costs just £2!

We are out of time for the panel, and we are moving on to Policy Lapse, which is where we discuss whether we want to keep any policy from 2016 which would otherwise be lapsing this year. #nusdisabled19
At a panel called 'After welfare reform: What does a just social security system look like?' Panellists are Rick Burgess (GM Coalition of Disabled People; Recovery in the Bin), Deej Malik-Johnson (NUS NEC Parents and Carers Rep), and Martha Foulds (DPAC Sheffield) #nusdisabled19

Martha: raising people's voices who are directly involved + are experts. Example of work with Roma community to improve understanding of UC process and applying for settled status. Deej: (lobbying for) translation services, explaining complicated specific language #nusdisabled19

Rick: often there are existing services but coordination between them is lacking. Get experts and organisations together to do workshops, skill sharing #nusdisabled19
