Today marked another step toward District 9 fulfilling its potential through a major revitalization effort in the Bowen Homes community. Councilmember Dustin Hillis and City Council President Marci Collier Overstreet joined @HousingAtlanta to celebrate the Phase II groundbreaking of Ariel Place at Bowen, a transformative chapter in the redevelopment of Bowen Homes. Ariel Place at Bowen honors the past, celebrates the people who called Bowen Homes home, and looks toward a future filled with new opportunities for residents and generations to come.

Looking forward to more trail construction in District 9 and the City Council's upcoming review and adoption of our first citywide #TrailsATL Master Plan!
📰 Officials aim to complete the next 1.4 miles connecting to the Silver Comet at the Chattahoochee River by next year’s World Cup, District 9 Councilman Dustin Hillis said. "This will open up incredible opportunities for recreation, transportation and community building, giving residents and visitors alike more ways to explore a beautiful city," Hillis said. New Atlanta path opens, will become part of nation’s longest paved trail ajc.com/news/atlanta-news/ne…
