Old Dude Playing ARC Raiders - Chill PVE stream - Lets get some levels in! youtube.com/live/JF_NzEbjPuM… via @YouTube

400 people at BioWare just lost their jobs while studios like Embark and the Wardogs team are out here making better games with a fraction of the budget and none of the corporate bloat. This is the state of AAA gaming. Billions of dollars, decades of history, and they still can't figure out that people just want good games. Meanwhile AA studios are thriving because they actually focus on gameplay first. The big publishers are eating themselves alive. None of us should be surprised by any of this.

Are we supposed to be shocked at this news? upset? surprised? maybe Angry? I'm not any of those things. You reap what you sew.. These companies with the legendary pedigrees have all fallen down into the vast hole of woke, DEI, bullsh*t.. Cut them off like the infections they are. Time to move on.

Steam Next Fest is live right now with over 8,000 demos. Sounds great right? Except almost 1,700 of them are "AI-generated vibe coded slop". Devs are literally pulling their demos because they're afraid AI tools will clone their game before it even launches. One indie studio cancelled their demo entirely over it. Steam needs to get a handle on this because real developers are getting drowned out by garbage that took someone 45 minutes to "build." Is This is what happens when you don't gatekeep quality?

The ARC Raiders PVE toggle test is ending soon. What are your impressions? Good, bad, maybe in the middle somewhere? Do you think it's going to be made permanent soon? What would you do?

Honest to god. I'm getting so tired of the silly bickering going on about PVE and PVP in ARC and other shooter type games I think I might go eat some crow and play some WoW Forever as a vacation.
